A Casa di Adele Overview

You know what struck me first about A Casa di Adele? The name itself – it has this intimate, almost residential feel that turned out to be spot-on. This isn’t your typical three-star hotel where everything feels mass-produced and sterile. Instead, it’s got this genuine warmth that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s place, if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and knew exactly how to make guests comfortable.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious – I mean, sure, it’s not dripping with luxury amenities, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (which is rarer than you’d think these days), and they’ll give you proper local recommendations, not just the touristy spots everyone already knows about. The rooms have character without trying too hard – think carefully chosen furniture that feels lived-in rather than showroom perfect, and those little touches that make you realize someone actually thought about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi works reliably (tested it thoroughly while catching up on work), and the beds are properly comfortable, not too soft or firm.

What really won me over was how the place operates day to day. Breakfast isn’t some elaborate buffet affair, but it’s thoughtfully done with quality ingredients – the kind of meal that sets you up right for exploring rather than leaving you sluggish. The common areas have this easy atmosphere where you might end up chatting with other guests without it feeling forced. And here’s something practical that matters – the soundproofing is actually decent, so you’re not dealing with hallway conversations at midnight or street noise keeping you awake. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’re there; it’s the kind of place that consistently delivers on what it promises without overpromising in the first place. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels authentic and well-run without breaking the budget, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Reviews of A Casa di Adele

  • Massimo from Italy – 7 January 2025 (9/10)

    Casa molto calda. Parcheggio facile.

What could be improved: Scarico doccia intasato da peli e capelli di ospiti precedenti. Ho pulito il filtro. In cucina non c'è un cavatappi. Comprato.

  • Isaac from Canada – 20 September 2024 (9/10)

Quiet location away from the tourist hustle, but still close to the some of the local gems. There's also a supermarket 2min walk away. Great wifi.

  • Benjamin from Austria – 18 September 2024 (8/10)

    Dusche, Sauberkeit, Größe

What could be improved: Bett zu kurz für Füße

Apartament w fajnej i cichej okolicy. Do dworca PKP i starówki ok. 30 min. pieszo. W pełni wyposażony, pralka, zmywarka, suszarka na pranie i żelazko. Kapsułki do prania, tabletki do zmywarki, kawa, herbata, cukier, przyprawy były dodatkowym atutem. Bardzo czysty. Właściciele zapewniają kartę parkingową. Parking przed budynkiem. Polecam pyszną lasagne i zapiekankę z bakłażana.

    What could be improved: Nie.

  • Barbora from Czech Republic – 11 June 2024 (5/10)

What could be improved: Sadly, the check-in is just awful, you have to get this app and then fill in everything for every guest which is very time consuming – date of birth, passport number, pasport expiry, age , contact number, email and answer a lot of questions online. In fact it is more complex than a flight check-in which is something you would not expect with checking in into an apartment, The instructions on accessing the apartment, while pretty clear, are very complex which seems somewhat unnecessary given that the owner lives right across the hall. It would have been so much nicer to have been met and given the keys and a bit of Italian charm added instead of this modern sterile system of checking in.
The apartment is also very far from the old town where pretty much everything you want to see is located. It is about 2 km and unless you want to spend the whole day in the old town, count at leats 2 trips there and back or taxi which is EUR 20 one way.
Also – the air-condition did not work. We stayed 3 nights, noticed this problem just after check-in and informed owner. While she did all she could to get it fixed, it did not happen and was not fixed during our stay so we had 3 very hot sleepless nights. Came home exhausted to be honest. The bed was not comfortable as there are 2 mattresses that slide apart. The WiFi did not work. We just used our mobile data in the end.
The apartment is on 5th floor yet there is no view to speak of, you look into surrounding buildings. I did not feel particularly safe in the area at night walking alone with 2 children as it is far from the centre and not that well lit in the area.
