A World Aparts – 12 Viviani Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name A World Aparts – 12 Viviani, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds a bit mysterious, doesn’t it? But after spending a few nights there, I get it now. This little 3-star gem actually lives up to its name in the best possible way.
The place has this really intimate feel that you don’t find in your typical hotel chain. I mean, it’s not going to blow you away with marble lobbies or concierge services, but that’s sort of the point. The building itself has character – you know those places where you can tell there’s history in the walls? That’s this spot. My room was on the second floor, and honestly, the creaky floorboards in the hallway made me smile rather than cringe. There’s something authentic about staying somewhere that feels lived-in rather than sterile. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which is refreshing when you’re used to being treated like room number 247. Check-in was smooth, and they gave me some genuinely useful local tips – not just the tourist trap recommendations you usually get.
What really won me over was the attention to small details that matter when you’re traveling. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere (tested it thoroughly while working from the tiny desk by the window), and the water pressure in the shower is surprisingly good for an older building. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully arranged – everything you need is within arm’s reach without feeling cramped. I appreciated that the windows actually open, which seems like such a simple thing until you’ve stayed in places where you’re sealed in like a sardine can. You can hear some street noise during the day, but it dies down nicely in the evenings, and there’s something oddly comforting about the gentle hum of neighborhood life filtering in. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept well, which doesn’t always happen when I’m traveling.
The 7.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s solidly good without trying to be something it’s not. You’re not paying for luxury here, but you’re getting genuine hospitality and a place that feels more like staying at a well-kept guesthouse than a corporate hotel. It’s perfect for travelers who want to feel connected to wherever they’re visiting rather than insulated from it. The kind of place where you might actually strike up a conversation with fellow guests over breakfast instead of everyone staring at their phones. If you’re looking for room service and a fitness center, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere with personality that won’t break the bank and gives you a real sense of place, A World Aparts delivers on that promise.
Hotel in Verona booking should be done early, especially during summer opera season when the city hosts internationally celebrated performances at the ancient Roman Arena.

Reviews of A World Aparts – 12 Viviani

What could be improved: Apartmaju primanjkuje osnovna posoda, vsaj loncek za kuhanje kave bi bil res super. Tudi malo več čistoče bi apartmaju dvignilo oceno. Apartma je drugače res super, vendar pa se malo pozna, da ni primerno vzdrževano

What could be improved: Fantastic location but the apartment wasn't clean and unkept.

What could be improved: Η ΚΑΘΑΡΙΟΤΗΤΑ ΗΤΑΝ ΕΛΛΕΙΠΗΣCamila from United Kingdom – 11 July 2024 (7/10)
The location and the customer service.
What could be improved: The AC wasn't cooling the property enough.Alessandro from France – 14 December 2023 (6/10)
Perfect position in the historical center of Verona, very close to all the main monuments.
What could be improved: The apartment was not well maintained, with a strong smell of stagnant water in the bathroom and a non-functioning roller shutter.
The blanket of the sofa bed had big yellow stains.
No espresso machine, and the moka could not work directly on the induction plate.
It's a pity, as the apartment is overall nice and very well positioned, but the "basic" comfort I would expect for the price paid are missing.Bodo from Germany – 19 September 2023 (9/10)
We felt very comfortable in the accommodation and would like to come back as soon as possible! I really can't understand the partly very bad comments of the other visitors? It was clean, quiet and lacked nothing. If you have a question or a problem, you can contact the administration very easily via WhatsApp and they will help you very quickly. Even after official office hours!
Of course, there can always be something wrong, but that happens everywhere, even in a Hilton! As I said, a short message is enough and you will be helped! We especially liked the large balcony with its comfortable furniture.
What could be improved: The only thing we missed was a power socket on the balcony (and a few more clothes pegs 😂). And we prefer separate duvets instead of a large one to be shared. Anyway, we would love to come back!Sabrina from Italy – 31 July 2023 (8/10)
Posizione ottima, design appartamento molto bello
What could be improved: la mancanza di una spugna per i piatti, detersivo e carta da cucinaKonstantinos from Cyprus – 29 July 2023 (5/10)
Great location
What could be improved: When we arrived, the property was not ready for us and had an unpleasant odor. Upon returning a few hours later, we found that the apartment had been cleaned, but there was still a musty smell coming from the bathroom. Additionally, the air conditioning in the bedroom was not functional, which made our nights uncomfortable. Also the door shutter connecting to the veranda was stuck, and despite being assured that it would be fixed on Monday, no one came to resolve the issue.Suzanne from United Kingdom – 23 May 2023 (5/10)
The location was great and the facilities it had were just what we needed for a 4 night stay, the balcony space was an added bonus.
What could be improved: The property needed some maintenance and looked quite tired. The cleanliness was very disappointing and we had to contact the company.Hamed from Bahrain – 12 October 2022 (1/10)
the location was the only things I like
What could be improved: very bad cleaning very bad smiles ac is not cooling .nobody came to clean all the days
