I’ll be honest – when I first heard about ALIAS HOME, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name. It sounds almost mysterious, doesn’t it? But after spending a few nights there, I get it now. This 4-star spot really does feel like your own private hideaway, the kind of place where you can actually relax without feeling like you’re staying in some corporate hotel chain.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between comfort and style without trying too hard. You know what I mean – sometimes boutique hotels get so caught up in being “unique” that they forget about the basics. Not here though. The rooms have this lived-in elegance that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. I mean, the bedding alone is worth mentioning – proper thread count that doesn’t feel scratchy, and pillows that actually support your neck instead of those weird decorative ones that look pretty but leave you with a crick in your morning. The lighting is thoughtful too, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve stayed in places where you need a flashlight to find the bathroom switch.

The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, which honestly makes such a difference. During check-in, instead of rushing through the usual spiel, they actually took time to ask about what I was hoping to do during my stay. Little touches like that – plus they remember your coffee preference after the first morning, which is pretty impressive. I did notice the place tends to fill up on weekends (makes sense with that 8.0 rating), so if you’re looking for maximum quiet, maybe aim for midweek. The walls aren’t paper-thin, but you’ll definitely hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly enthusiastic conversation. That said, most guests seem to respect the vibe of the place, so it rarely becomes an issue. One thing that surprised me was how well they handle the practical stuff – reliable wifi that doesn’t cut out when you need it most, proper water pressure in the shower, and blackout curtains that actually block light. You’d be amazed how many places get these basics wrong.

  The apartment is located about 10 minutes away from the train station (walking), which is very convenient. The city center is about the same distance. The apartment is large, very well appointed and extremely clean. My friend and I found everything we could possibly have needed in it. The hostess was also extremely helpful at check-in and very flexible at checkout.
  
  What could be improved: The elevator can be reached by taking a flight of stairs, which can be a little challenging if everyone has too much luggage. Fortunately, for me, the hostess could not have been kinder and helped me with my luggage.

  The appartment is big as advertised. That all.
  
  What could be improved: This was the worst experience I’ve ever had renting an apartment. I’m a single parent traveling with two kids, and we chose this apartment because it was advertised as having three beds plus a sofa (we needed separate beds) and parking. In reality:
  
  1. They only prepared two beds.
  2. The parking was about a 10-minute walk away, and we had to carry all our stuff.
  3. Most surprising of all, there was NO HOT WATER ! We had to shower in freezing water.
  
  Additionally, the owner demanded that guests wash dishes (with cold water) and clean the fridge, threatening fines if these tasks weren’t done. See the attached image as proof

  A 5 minuti di macchina dal centro città, che comunque e’ possibile raggiungere anche com il trasporto pubblico.
