It’s tucked into a quiet residential street in Verona, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — you feel like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully designed home rather than a commercial property. The entrance has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” which I actually appreciated after seeing so many over-the-top places around the city.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re close enough to the historic center that you can walk to Juliet’s balcony or the Arena in about fifteen minutes, but far enough away that you escape the crowds when you come back in the evening. The street itself is lined with local cafes and small shops where actual Veronese people go about their daily lives. There’s a fantastic little bakery just two blocks down that opens at 6 AM, and trust me, their cornetti are worth the early wake-up call. You know what really sold me on the area? I could hear church bells in the distance but not the constant hum of tour buses.

The Room Experience

The room design strikes this perfect balance between modern comfort and Italian style — think clean lines with warm touches that don’t feel sterile. My space had these gorgeous hardwood floors and windows that actually opened wide (you’d be surprised how many hotels skimp on this). The bed was properly comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable, and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually works well. I mean, the whole setup felt more like a well-appointed apartment than a standard hotel room, which explains why couples seem to gravitate toward this place.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely, unhurried quality — there’s no massive breakfast buffet with tour groups jostling for position. Instead, you get a more intimate setup that feels civilized and actually lets you ease into your day. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience rather than just checking boxes, and they’ll give you real recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots). I found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual, partly because the atmosphere was so relaxed and partly because I wasn’t eager to rush back into the tourist fray.

You’re staying somewhere that feels authentic to Verona — not some international chain that could be anywhere in the world. It’s particularly perfect for couples who want to explore Verona’s romantic side without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of things.

  The apartment is located about 10 minutes away from the train station (walking), which is very convenient. The city center is about the same distance. The apartment is large, very well appointed and extremely clean. My friend and I found everything we could possibly have needed in it. The hostess was also extremely helpful at check-in and very flexible at checkout.
  
  What could be improved: The elevator can be reached by taking a flight of stairs, which can be a little challenging if everyone has too much luggage. Fortunately, for me, the hostess could not have been kinder and helped me with my luggage.

  The appartment is big as advertised. That all.
  
  What could be improved: This was the worst experience I’ve ever had renting an apartment. I’m a single parent traveling with two kids, and we chose this apartment because it was advertised as having three beds plus a sofa (we needed separate beds) and parking. In reality:
  
  1. They only prepared two beds.
  2. The parking was about a 10-minute walk away, and we had to carry all our stuff.
  3. Most surprising of all, there was NO HOT WATER ! We had to shower in freezing water.
  
  Additionally, the owner demanded that guests wash dishes (with cold water) and clean the fridge, threatening fines if these tasks weren’t done. See the attached image as proof
