Opera Luxury Apartment Overview

First Impressions

Walking down Vicolo San Tomaso Apostolo feels like stepping into a Renaissance painting — and that’s exactly where you’ll find Opera Luxury Apartment. I mean, when they say “heart of Verona,” they’re not kidding around. This four-star property sits in such a perfect spot that locals actually stop and stare at the building’s elegant facade. The entrance has this understated Italian charm that doesn’t scream tourist trap, which honestly made me feel like I’d discovered something special.

The Perfect Verona Base

You know what’s incredible about this location? You’re literally surrounded by everything that makes Verona magical, but tucked away on a quiet side street that most tourists never find. Juliet’s balcony is a three-minute stroll, the Arena di Verona is practically next door, and the Piazza delle Erbe — well, you can hear the morning market vendors setting up. I spent my first morning just wandering the cobblestones with my coffee, realizing I could walk to every major sight without breaking a sweat. The couples I met there seemed to have the same revelation — there’s something romantic about having all of Verona at your doorstep.

The Apartment Experience

This isn’t your typical hotel room situation — it’s actually an apartment setup that gives you space to breathe. The interiors blend modern comfort with those classic Italian touches you’d expect in a historic building. What struck me most was how they managed to fit a proper kitchen without making the space feel cramped. The windows look out onto the medieval streets below, and honestly, I found myself just sitting there watching daily life unfold in one of Italy’s most romantic cities.

Morning Rituals

The breakfast spread here deserves its own paragraph because it’s genuinely impressive. They offer continental, Italian, and buffet options — which sounds fancy, but what it really means is you can have your familiar morning routine or dive into proper Italian pastries and espresso. I alternated between both approaches during my stay. The Italian breakfast won me over completely (those cornetti are dangerous), and the buffet setup meant I could fuel up properly before spending entire days exploring without needing to hunt for lunch.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.3 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen — you feel it the moment you settle in. The location score of 10.0 makes perfect sense when you’re walking to dinner past illuminated Roman ruins, or when you realize the opera house is close enough that you can hear rehearsals drifting through your windows. Couples seem especially drawn to this place, and I get it — there’s something about having your own private space in such a historically rich neighborhood that feels both intimate and adventurous. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay just because leaving feels premature.

It’s spacious, well equipped and in an excellent location. Was immaculately clean and has the most wonderful balcony too!

  • Vicki from Australia – 25 June 2024 (9/10)

Such a beautiful location and amazing home. A short stroll to the market square and the Opera on Saturday night- we saw Turandot. Lucia was lovely to deal with and very helpful. We will miss Verona.

What could be improved: Had some issues with the tv and reception- however Lucia attended the property when requested and got it working for us.

  • Moira from United Kingdom – 22 June 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was beautifully furnished, in true operatic style, including a terrace with views over the red Veronese rooftops. The fridge was filled with goodies for breakfast and snacks, with water and wine too. We had absolutely everything we needed, including comfort and luxury.

The apartment is perfectly situated by Piazza Erbe with a market, shops, cafes and restaurants, plus some of the main attractions. It is a short straight walk to the main Piazza Bra, Roman amphitheatre, and buses.

    Perfect in every way!

Perfect location, couldn’t be more central! So clean and comfortable. Great for a group of friends to enjoy sociable and comfortable space together. Host provided a range of breakfast foods and wine! So helpful with advice and recommendations too. We had a fantastic stay.

  • Cath from Australia – 10 November 2023 (9/10)

This is a gorgeous property! It’s full of Italian charm. Easy to get to, fabulously located. Andreina and Lucia, we’re wonderful. We were fully accommodated, even with Gluten Free! Very clean with lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds. Beautiful roof top view from one side and to the snow capped mountains from the other.

What could be improved: Unfortunately, it’s a little lightly stocked for cooking utensils, and so the nights we didn’t feel like eating out was a bit of a challenge and I couldn’t get the oven working. But these were only minor issues
