Alle mura apartment Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Alle mura apartment along Circonvallazione Maroncelli, you’ll immediately understand why this place gets such high marks from guests. The building sits right in the San Zeno district — honestly, one of Verona’s most authentic neighborhoods where you’ll actually hear Italian being spoken more than English. It’s this four-star property that feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel, which I mean in the best possible way.

The Neighborhood Advantage

San Zeno is where locals go about their daily lives, and you’re perfectly positioned to join them. The famous Basilica of San Zeno Maggiore is practically around the corner — you know, the one with those incredible bronze doors that most tourists rush past on their way to Juliet’s balcony. But here’s what’s really great: you can walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes, yet you’re far enough away that you won’t be dealing with cruise ship crowds every time you step outside. There’s this little bakery two blocks down that opens at 6 AM, and trust me, their cornetti are worth the early wake-up call.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup is what really sets this place apart from standard hotel rooms. You get a proper living area where you can actually spread out your maps and guidebooks without everything falling off a tiny bedside table. The kitchen comes stocked with everything you need if you want to grab some fresh produce from the morning market — and honestly, after a few heavy Italian dinners, you’ll appreciate being able to make a simple breakfast at home. The whole space feels thoughtfully designed rather than just functional, with enough character that you’re not constantly reminded you’re in temporary accommodation.

Getting Around and Practical Matters

Here’s something I really appreciated — parking in this area isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the arena. You’re still within walking distance of everything that matters, but you won’t spend twenty minutes circling blocks looking for a spot. The location gets an 8.5 rating from recent guests, and I can see why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real Verona life while still being close enough to hit the major sights without planning your day around transportation.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.1 overall rating tells the story pretty well, but what really stands out is how couples consistently rave about this place. There’s something about having your own space in a residential neighborhood that makes a romantic trip feel more intimate and less touristy. You can grab a bottle of wine from the enoteca down the street and actually have somewhere comfortable to enjoy it together. Plus, when you’re walking back from dinner through these quieter streets, you get those perfect evening moments that you just can’t experience when you’re staying right in the thick of the tourist zone.

Reviews of Alle mura apartment

  • Alexander from United Kingdom – 1 October 2024 (8/10)

    clean and comfortable

What could be improved: I left something in apartment and they kept saying they would send to me by post, I have offered to pay, but have not sent item and now don't answer my calls.

  • Mariam from Georgia – 16 August 2024 (9/10)

It was clean property, the host was very polite and cooperative, location was perfect and close to verona centre

  • S from India – 10 June 2024 (8/10)

    1. The Apartment was good. Has good large living room and 2 bedrooms with two toilets.
    2. The owner allowed for a.late checkout.

What could be improved: Please be aware that
    1. There is an AC which is in a wierd place that will not cool any of the rooms. We were visiting at a time when it was not too hot, but one AC will not be sufficient for cooling such an apartment
    2. It is noisy as there is street traffic late into the night.
    3. It is a bit further away from the city centre than we expected.

  • Yildiztozoglu from Turkey – 30 September 2023 (7/10)

Since the apartment was close to the city center, transportation was very easy. The apartment was clean and easy to use. It met my expectations

  • Jo-st from Sweden – 26 July 2023 (9/10)

Great, cozy apartment, very clean, plenty of supplies for kitchen and bathroom.
About 10-15 walk from train station. Also about 15 min walk to arena di Verona and main shopping area.
A plus that cold water bottles were waiting in the fridge when we got there.

What could be improved: It was very noisy because of the vicinity to a busy street. With windows open it was sometimes difficult to hear one another because of loud traffic).

  • Gregor from United Kingdom – 21 July 2023 (8/10)

    Good location and well appointed.

What could be improved: We had asked in advance to use the sofa bed but there were no sheets for it. We called the phone number and someone arrived quickly with the necessary bed linen and all was fine.

  • Jaie from United Kingdom – 20 July 2023 (9/10)

Clean facilities, water left in the fridge on arrival and plenty of complementary soaps. Short walk to town.

  • Julie from United States – 10 April 2023 (6/10)

Location was good – we were able to walk to most places. Apartment is large – we were able to spread out nicely. Hosts were very good about responding quickly.

What could be improved: VERY loud street traffic, no dresser in 2nd bedroom, no bedside lights, no paper towels/napkins in kitchen. Nice to have the washer but a pain not to have a dryer. When you're there for a short time, there's not enough time to air dry.

  • Jón from Iceland – 8 September 2022 (9/10)

    Everything🤌

What could be improved: Single glass windows, and all sounds from busy traffic therfor much stronger. But then again you are in a City and with it come noise.

  • John from United Kingdom – 29 June 2022 (9/10)

The apartment as a whole was very nice, comfortable and lots of extras in the kitchen to utilise if dining in.
There is a lift available, which id good for you carrying needs, very bright and spacious and the SPA bath was very good including the washing machine which was super!!

What could be improved: Noise of the traffic only during rush hour, Odour of sofa, No place mats for the beautiful dining table that the apartment has to offer…..
