[Freshly renovated] 10 minutes from Arena Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to [Freshly renovated] 10 minutes from Arena, you immediately notice how the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know — and honestly, that’s refreshing in a world of overly fancy hotel names. This four-star property in Borgo Trento has that crisp, just-finished feel that makes you appreciate being among the first guests to experience everything in pristine condition. The renovation work is evident from the moment you step inside, with modern touches that feel thoughtful rather than flashy.
Location & Neighborhood
Borgo Trento is one of those Verona neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook — which actually works in your favor here. You’re genuinely just ten minutes from the Arena, but instead of dealing with the crowds and tourist chaos right in the historic center, you get this quieter residential feel with tree-lined streets and actual Italians going about their daily lives. The location score of 9.9 isn’t just marketing fluff — couples especially seem to get it, rating the area a perfect 10, probably because you can easily walk to dinner in the centro storico but come home to peace and quiet.
The Room Experience
The rooms showcase that fresh renovation beautifully, with everything feeling brand new without being sterile. You know what I mean — sometimes newly renovated places can feel a bit soulless, but there’s a warmth here that suggests they actually thought about how people live in these spaces. The bathrooms are particularly well done (always a good sign), and the beds are that perfect firmness that works whether you’re a side sleeper or sprawl out on your back. Air conditioning works properly — crucial for Verona summers — and the Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner of the room.
Getting Around
Here’s where the location really shines: you’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough out that you’re not paying centro storico prices for everything. The walk to the Arena takes you through some lovely residential streets, and you’ll pass a couple of neighborhood bars where you can grab a proper Italian coffee for a euro instead of the tourist prices near the amphitheater. There’s also decent bus connections if you’re not feeling the walk, though honestly, ten minutes goes by pretty quickly when you’re strolling through Verona’s quieter streets.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of that fresh, renovated feel with a genuinely great location seems to hit the sweet spot for most visitors. You get the reliability of everything working properly — no temperamental shower heads or flickering lights — while staying in an area that feels authentically Veronese rather than like a tourist bubble. The fact that couples consistently rate it so highly suggests it strikes that balance between romance and practicality that’s actually pretty hard to find. Plus, being in the top-rated area in Verona means you’re not just getting a good hotel, you’re getting a good base for exploring the city properly.
Hotels in Verona offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval gem, with easy access to historic palazzos, charming piazzas, and renowned wine bars.

Everything was perfect, very good communication with the owner.
Lilit from Poland – 17 February 2025 (10/10)
Clean and light apartment equipped with everything for the stat. The host is fast responder and helpy. It needs 10mins by walk to the city center. The location is good if u have a car and need to park in the city. There were plenty of places to park near. I am sure we couldn’t park in the city centre.
Cristina from Romania – 12 November 2024 (10/10)

Frank from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (8/10)
Clean, modern and great location for the old town, but in residential area with local feel. Nice small bars, shops and restaurants. Easy reach by bus to station or taxi to airport.
What could be improved: No area for sitting for 4 adults as kitchen and balcony bit too narrow. Only one key provided. We never met or spoke directly to, host, so missed a personal touch. Bar was a bit noisy late at night, even during working week, so needed to close window.Dennis from Singapore – 15 September 2024 (9/10)
Conveniently located, newly renovated and clean
What could be improved: Gets a little noisy at night on the streets. Blankets too thin.Jenny from Germany – 19 August 2024 (10/10)
Great location (10min walk to Arena and old city, restaurants on doorstep), just renovated, host is amazing

What could be improved: NothingSonya from France – 14 July 2024 (9/10)
The location is not in the center of town, but you're in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We loved it. It's just a short walk across the bridge to get to where you'll want to go. And Alex, the host, is fantastic. His sweet mama cleans the apartment (and it is CLEAN!), and she helped us drop off our bags and get the keys. It's a tiny apartment but is more than adequate for a short stay in Verona. We had everything we needed!
