Here’s the thing about staying in Verona’s old town — most places either stick you on a noisy main drag or somewhere so tucked away you need GPS to find a coffee shop. This place gets the balance right. I could walk to Juliet’s balcony in about eight minutes (yes, I timed it), and the Arena di Verona was maybe a twelve-minute stroll through those gorgeous medieval streets. What really impressed me was how the locals clearly use this neighborhood too — there’s an authentic enoteca around the corner and a little bakery that opens at 6 AM for actual Veronese heading to work.

The Room Experience

My room was larger than I expected, which is saying something for a historic building in Italy. The design walks this nice line between respecting the original architecture and actually being comfortable for modern travelers. I mean, the bathroom wasn’t some cramped afterthought, and there was proper storage space — details that matter when you’re staying more than a night or two. The windows opened onto the quiet street, and honestly, after a day of sightseeing, that peaceful atmosphere was exactly what I needed.

Practical Perks

Can we talk about the parking situation for a second? Finding a place to leave your car in Verona’s center is usually a nightmare, but they actually have free private parking on-site. I didn’t believe it until I saw it — a proper secure spot just steps from the entrance. The staff was genuinely helpful too, not in that overly rehearsed hotel way, but like they actually wanted to make sure I had a good time in their city. They pointed me toward this little osteria that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook I’d read.

Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Italian historic centers, and most of them either feel like museums or party hostels. Residenza Bacco hits this sweet spot where you’re living like a temporary local rather than just passing through as a tourist.   The location was within walking distance to all of Verona's attractions without being difficult to access. The apartment was on street level, well appointed, clean, and had an excellent view of the Porta Nuova. We traveled with our young daughter, and there was a park right across the street! A beautiful residence and would recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Verona.

  Spacious and beautiful apartment. Detailed self check-in instruction. Kind and attending host.
  The apartment is in close proximity to Porta Nuova and the train station. It is beautifully decorated, with cozy living room, large flat-screen TV that can stream our devices, comfortable sofa, large dinning table, well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds, and 2 bathrooms. The host Raffaella is very kind and helped us with early check-in. The location is perfect, with free on-site parking (though we didn't need it) so one can safely leave the car and just walk around the historic city center.
  
  What could be improved: It'd be even better if there is a washing machine.
  The bathrooms could use some towel racks or hooks to hang the used towels.

  Super clean place. The only thing is this place fits max 6 comfortably. We were 8 but Rafaela was very kind to set up beds for 8 of us. The sofa bed however wasn’t very comfortable. But all it needed was a thicker mattress on top that’s it.
