Walking up to AMANTI DUE apartments on Via Amanti, you’ll immediately understand why this three-star property scores so incredibly well with guests. I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Verona magical — the narrow cobblestone streets, the medieval architecture, those little cafes where locals actually hang out. The building itself has that understated Italian charm that doesn’t try too hard, which honestly feels more authentic than some of the flashier places I’ve stayed.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about the location — it’s almost ridiculously perfect. You know how some hotels claim to be “centrally located” but you still end up walking twenty minutes to see anything interesting? That’s not the case here. The historical center of Verona spreads out around you like you’re standing in the middle of a Renaissance painting. Juliet’s balcony is practically around the corner, and the Arena di Verona (where they do those incredible opera performances) is close enough that you can walk there in your good shoes without suffering. What I really appreciated was how the street itself — Via Amanti — feels residential enough that you’re not constantly dodging tour groups, but central enough that a quick stroll gets you to Piazza delle Erbe or Via Mazzini for shopping.

The Apartment Experience

The apartments themselves strike that sweet spot between hotel convenience and home comfort. Each unit feels thoughtfully designed rather than just furnished — you’ll find a proper kitchen if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local markets, but you’re not stuck with that sad hotel kitchenette vibe. The spaces feel genuinely Italian, not like someone’s idea of what Italian should look like. I particularly loved how the windows open properly (not those tiny hotel slits) so you can actually hear the city waking up in the morning, which sounds romantic but isn’t overwhelming since Via Amanti stays relatively quiet.

What Makes It Special

What really sets AMANTI DUE apartments apart is how it lets you live in Verona rather than just visit it. You can pop out for fresh bread in the morning, come back to drop off your shopping bags, then head out for aperitivo without feeling like you’re constantly packing and unpacking hotel key cards. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood well — they’ll point you toward the wine bar that locals frequent or suggest which evening to catch the sunset from Castel San Pietro. It’s that kind of insider knowledge that makes a difference when you’re trying to experience a city authentically.

  The location is simply magical – right in the old town, a three-minute walk from Juliet's balcony. All other attractions can be easily reached on foot without much effort. The apartment was large, everything was clean. A comfortable bathroom. The owner of the apartment is a very cheerful, sociable, attentive and helpful young man – he helped us a lot with recommendations about where to eat, as well as temporary (for loading and unloading luggage) and permanent (for four days) parking of our car (for 10 euros per day).
  
  What could be improved: Although the bed was stylish and was generally far from the worst that I had encountered in my travels, it was still quite hard (we had to put a blanket on top of the mattress) and besides that it creaked when you get up and go to bed.
