Apartment Centro storico Verona , Samaritana n.4 Overview
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first booked Apartment Centro storico Verona, Samaritana n.4 – the name’s a mouthful, and sometimes these historic center places can be tourist traps. But walking up to this spot on Via Samaritana, I actually got excited. The building has that weathered Veronese charm that you can’t fake, with those characteristic stone details that make you feel like you’re stepping into someone’s actual neighborhood rather than some sanitized hotel zone.
The apartment itself surprised me in the best way. I mean, it’s not huge – this is Verona’s historic heart we’re talking about, where space is precious – but everything feels thoughtfully arranged. The windows open onto the kind of street scene that makes you want to grab your coffee and just watch the morning routine unfold below. There’s this lovely echo of footsteps on stone that drifts up from the narrow streets, especially in the early hours when locals are heading to work and the tourist crowds haven’t descended yet. The restoration work here is really well done too – they’ve kept the character (those ceiling beams, the original floors) while making sure everything actually works properly. Honestly, the Wi-Fi was better than my last corporate hotel, and the shower pressure? No complaints whatsoever.
What I love most about staying here is how it drops you right into the rhythm of actual Verona life. You’re literally steps from Piazza delle Erbe – I could hear the market vendors setting up their stalls around 7 AM, which became my natural alarm clock. But here’s the thing about this location that guidebooks don’t tell you: it’s close enough to everything major that you can easily walk to Juliet’s balcony or the Arena, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that camp out on the main drags. Via Samaritana has this lovely residential feel where you’ll see the same shopkeeper opening up each morning, and there’s a little alimentari around the corner that saves you from overpriced tourist snacks. The building can get a bit echoey – these old places always do – but it’s never been disruptive, just part of the authentic atmosphere. For a 3-star place with a 9.4 rating, it really delivers on that promise of giving you a genuine slice of Verona living rather than just another place to crash between sightseeing. If you want to feel like you’re temporarily living in this gorgeous city rather than just passing through it, this is exactly the kind of place that makes that happen.

Breakfast was not part of the deal, we have it outside apt.
What could be improved: The noise produced by ventilation system in the restaurant nearby (the bedroom had a window, which faces restaurant's interior court).Gwenola from Ireland – 17 October 2024 (9/10)

Everything was excellent, owner Cristiano was nice, helpful. The apartment is next to all attractions: Juliet's house, piazza Bra, Tower, castles, Arena. If we come again, we will stay in the same apartment again. Thank you

This was our favorite place to stay throughout our trip.
The apartment was perfect in every way. The consideration of Cristiano and Monica was outstanding, From simple things like pegs to hang out washing to coffee pods and water and how clean and beautifully decorated it was.
The location was perhaps 60 steps to Guillettes balcony and maybe 400 metres to the Verona Arena. The location was incredible.
Highly recommended and cannot wait to come back!

What could be improved: Due to location, street noise could be a problem for bad sleepersFiona from United Kingdom – 4 November 2023 (10/10)
Everything was great – location, greeting, facilities. Not all brand new but very liveable.
What could be improved: It was a little noisy during the day / evening when you have the windows open but this is compensated for by the wonderfully central location. It was quiet at night.
Being right in the centre with many buildings around it, it's a little dark inside.
