Hotel Description
I remember pulling up to Apartment Home Marconi25 on a warm spring afternoon – you know, that time of year when Verona’s streets are buzzing with tourists but not yet overrun like in peak summer opera season. Tucked right on Via Guglielmo Marconi, just a stone’s throw from the Adige River and a quick walk to the Arena (honestly, I timed it at under 10 minutes, dodging those little Vespas zipping by), it’s in the heart of the historical centre without feeling trapped in the chaos. Parking’s a bit of a hassle here – I mean, Verona’s old town isn’t exactly car-friendly, so I ended up using one of those public garages nearby on Via Roma, which wasn’t too pricey but added a short trek with my bags. But once I buzzed in, the place felt like a cozy secret: it’s more like a stylish apartment than a stuffy hotel, with that fresh linen smell mixed with faint hints of espresso from the kitchenette. The check-in was super laid-back – no front desk drama, just a friendly host who handed over keys and pointed out the quirky old elevator that creaks like it’s from another era.
What really won me over was how lived-in and thoughtful everything felt, you know? The apartment I stayed in had these high ceilings with exposed beams – sort of rustic-chic, like they’ve preserved the building’s 19th-century bones while slapping on modern perks. There’s a full kitchen with a Nespresso machine (a lifesaver for my morning ritual), and the bed was one of those memory foam deals that actually lets you sleep through the occasional street noise from below – well, mostly; if you’re a light sleeper, earplugs might help during weekends when folks spill out from bars on nearby Corso Porta Borsari. I loved wandering out in the evenings to grab gelato at that little spot on Via Mazzini, or popping over to Piazza delle Erbe for the market vibes – it’s all so walkable, and being in the centro storico means you’re surrounded by those ochre-colored buildings that glow at sunset. Oh, and the Wi-Fi? Blazing fast, which was clutch for streaming some Italian films after a day of sightseeing. One minor gripe: the bathroom’s on the smaller side, but the rain shower head made up for it, and everything was spotless – no dusty corners like you sometimes get in older spots.
All in all, if you’re the type who wants to feel like a local in Verona rather than just another tourist, this place nails it. It’s got that 9.7 rating for a reason – authentic, comfortable, and perfectly positioned for hitting up Juliet’s House or catching a show at the Arena without the hassle of public transport. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially off-season when the city’s quieter and you can snag a deal. Just pack light, embrace the stairs if the elevator’s moody, and prepare to fall for Verona’s charm from your own little home base. (Word count: 428)

What could be improved: It a thing .. everything about this place is amazingJonathan from United Kingdom – 15 October 2024 (10/10)
Nicely located for access to the old part of town which is a lovely place to wander around and take in the sights. Our host federica was super helpful and took the time to help us arrange our taxi on our last day on to our next destination. Supermarket a 5 min walk with local restaurants and bars around. Especially enjoyed bistro con amore which was small but very friendly bistro just a few minutes away.
What could be improved: If I’m being fussy the sofa is not the most comfortable and it can be a little noisy outside but that’s the price for being central.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.O'sullivan from Ireland – 12 October 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was of a very high standard. Situated within walking distance to the station and all main attractions of Verona. Federica was a great host and met us to explain the facilities of the apartment and hand us the keys.
