Appartamento in centro a Verona Overview
You know what? When I first walked into Appartamento in centro a Verona, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the name basically just tells you it’s an apartment in the center, which is pretty straightforward but doesn’t give you much to go on. But honestly, sometimes the simplest descriptions are the most accurate ones.
The location is really what makes this place work. I mean, you’re genuinely in the heart of Verona, and I’m talking about being able to walk to Juliet’s balcony in about five minutes (yeah, it’s touristy, but come on, you’re gonna do it anyway). What I actually loved was stumbling out in the morning and finding myself right in the middle of all those narrow cobblestone streets that make Verona feel like you’ve stepped back a few centuries. The apartment itself is pretty no-frills – it’s a solid 3-star situation, nothing fancy, but everything you need is there. The kitchen actually works, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed, and having that space to spread out after walking around all day was honestly a relief. You’ll hear some street noise, especially if you keep the windows open (which you probably will, because the stone buildings hold heat like crazy in summer), but it’s mostly just the sound of people living their lives – conversations drifting up from the street, the occasional scooter puttering by.
What surprised me was how the 7.2 rating actually felt pretty accurate – not spectacular, but genuinely decent for what you’re paying for. I’ve stayed in places with higher ratings that felt way more generic and sterile. This felt like staying in someone’s actual apartment, complete with those little quirks you get in older buildings – the shower pressure that takes a minute to figure out, the way you have to jiggle the key just right. The area gets busy during the day with tourists doing the Romeo and Juliet circuit, but early mornings and evenings have this lovely local rhythm when you see people heading to work or meeting friends for aperitivo. There’s a little grocery store maybe two blocks away where the owner started recognizing me by day three, and honestly, those kinds of small interactions are what make a trip memorable. If you’re looking for luxury amenities and concierge service, this isn’t your spot – but if you want to actually feel like you’re living in Verona for a few days rather than just visiting it, the apartment delivers on that front. Just bring good walking shoes because those cobblestones are beautiful but murder on your feet after a full day of exploring.
Verona’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Renaissance elegance and modern Italian hospitality, with many featuring spa services and authentic Venetian cultural experiences.

Michele's apartment was beautiful and obviously a brand new renovation. I was particularly impressed by the floor and wall tiles and the beautiful new doors and windows. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. The closets were large and roomy although separate from the bedroom. We did not use the washing machine. The location of this apartment was perfect. Far enough from the busy tourist areas but still just a 15 minute walk to all the historic sites. The surrounding neighborhoods are full of nice restaurants and conveniently, there is a coffee shop and a small deli right next door. The river and bridge are less than a block away.
What could be improved: The apartment was very minimal. It was impersonal and needed more "warmth". Perhaps because it is new and hasn't been lived in much. It would be nice if extra pillows and sheets were provided. (Michele did provide us with extra pillows when we asked for them.) More basic items in the kitchen would make preparing meals or snacks much easier. I think with more suggestions from future guests this apartment will become even better. Be aware that the apartment is directly on the sidewalk and small street.Frank from France – 5 September 2024 (4/10)
Emplacement
What could be improved: Dysfonctionnement de la machine à laver (lave linge). Le propriétaire qui ne s'est pas déplacé nous a signifié que s'il nous envoyait un réparateur, ce serait à notre charge.Gurdeep from United Kingdom – 28 April 2024 (5/10)
It was well located and clean.
What could be improved: We had to wait over an hour in the rain before we were given the door code. Apparently he needed son id, which he only requested the morning of our arrival whilst we were travelling. We had to call booking.com and spend over 50 minutes to get the matter resolved!Angelica from United Kingdom – 22 April 2024 (8/10)
