Appartamento Orti di Spagna Overview

You know what really struck me about Appartamento Orti di Spagna? It’s one of those places where you immediately feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special that most tourists just walk right past. I mean, with a 9.1 rating, clearly other people have figured it out too, but there’s still this intimate, almost residential feel that makes you feel more like a temporary local than just another hotel guest.

The location is honestly incredible – and I don’t say that lightly because I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “perfectly positioned” but then you’re actually hiking fifteen minutes to get anywhere decent. Here though, you’re genuinely in the heart of everything that matters in Rome, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant chaos of tour groups and street vendors right outside your window. The Spagna metro stop is so close you’ll probably use it as a landmark when giving directions to friends, and honestly, being able to duck underground and pop up anywhere in the city makes such a difference when your feet are screaming after a day of cobblestone wandering. What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – is how quiet it gets at night. You’d think being so central would mean noise until dawn, but there’s something about the way these old Roman buildings are positioned that creates these peaceful little pockets.

The apartment itself feels authentically Roman in a way that’s hard to fake. I’m talking about those small details that actually matter when you’re living somewhere for more than just a night – like having actual counter space in the kitchen (revolutionary concept, I know) and windows that open properly so you can get that gorgeous Roman light filtering in during the morning. The 4-star rating feels right on the money; it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy or overly formal. Actually, what impressed me most was how everything just worked smoothly – you know how sometimes in vacation rentals you’re constantly figuring out quirky light switches or mysterious appliances? None of that here. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, which honestly can make or break those first crucial moments when you’re tired and just want to drop your bags. The space has this lived-in elegance that makes you want to actually cook a meal with ingredients from the local markets rather than just crash there between restaurant meals. And speaking of which, being able to grab fresh produce and actually prepare it somewhere with decent kitchen facilities – well, it changes the whole rhythm of how you experience a city like Rome. You’ll find yourself planning your days differently, maybe lingering over morning coffee instead of rushing out to tourist breakfast spots, or coming back mid-afternoon to regroup before evening adventures.

Reviews of Appartamento Orti di Spagna

  • Mimi from Canada – 9 April 2025 (10/10)

Beautiful, bright and spacious apartment with quality furnishings and amenities. The space was pristine and check-in and -out were quick and easy. Highly recommended for those looking for a peaceful stay within walking distance to the historical centre.

What could be improved: A little farther than imagined from the train station.

  • Stefano from Italy – 10 March 2025 (9/10)

la pulizia, la posizione, lo spazio a disposizione, la silenziosità del palazzo, la facilità del parcheggio e a disponibilità del Sig. Marcello

  • Carmen from Spain – 11 January 2025 (9/10)

Marcelo el dueño, fue atento y pendiente para que todo estuviese correcto.
El apartamento se ajusta a las fotos publicadas.
Estuvimos en diciembre y la calefacción muy confortable.
    Buena ducha y camas amplias.

What could be improved: Puede parecer que está lejos del centro, pero son 15 minutos más caminando, esto te soluciona aparcar y olvidarse de las zonas restringidas de Verona.

  • Petra from Croatia – 9 January 2025 (10/10)

Apartment was exceptionally clean and spacious. It’s located in quiet residential area. The host was helpful for any extra questions we had.
There is a free street parking few minutes from the apartment. The bus stop to the center is a minute away if you don’t want to walk to the center.

What could be improved: I vicini di casa

  • Francesca from Italy – 30 December 2024 (8/10)

Posizione comoda, in prossimità delle mura di Verona e per questo tranquillo.. stabile altrettanto tranquillo e piacevole..
    Appartamento caldo ed accogliente.
Parcheggio sottostante libero e sempre disponibile.
Marcello, un signore educato e premuroso.
    Asciugamani e lenzuola molto buoni.

What could be improved: Personalmente il materasso della camera vicino al bagno l'ho ritenuto piuttosto rigido, questione di abitudine.

  • Valeria from Mexico – 8 September 2024 (9/10)

El apartamento muy limpio y cómodo

What could be improved: No tiene ascensor y con maletas pesadas fue muy cansado

  • Sandra from Italy – 1 September 2024 (10/10)
