Hotel Description
I’ve gotta say, stumbling upon Arena Apartment Verona felt like one of those lucky finds you only get after wandering the twisty backstreets of Verona’s old town. I mean, it’s tucked away on Vicolo Morette, this narrow little alley off Via Mazzini – you know, that bustling shopping street where everyone grabs gelato from Grom or pops into the designer shops. Honestly, my first impression was pure charm overload: the building’s got that classic Veronese facade with weathered stone and flower boxes spilling over, and checking in was a breeze – it’s more like an apartment setup, so they email you a code for the door, no fussing with a front desk at odd hours. I arrived late after a train from Milan, and boom, I was in. The place is right in the Historical Centre, so you’re steps from the Arena – I could hear the faint echoes of opera rehearsals drifting over in the evenings, which was magical, though fair warning, it gets lively during the summer festival season when crowds pour out after shows. Parking? Well, forget it if you’re driving; the whole area’s pedestrian-only vibes, so I ditched my rental at the underground lot near Castelvecchio and walked the five minutes over cobblestones that, yeah, can be a bit uneven if you’ve got luggage wheels.
What really sold me on this spot – and it’s rated a solid 8.8 for good reason – is how it balances that authentic Italian apartment feel with just enough modern perks to make you comfy without going overboard. My room (well, suite, actually) had these high ceilings and exposed beams that screamed old-world Verona, but with a sleek kitchenette where I whipped up espresso from the provided pods each morning – the smell of fresh coffee mixing with the faint scent of the Adige River nearby was my daily wake-up ritual. It’s got four stars, sure, but it doesn’t feel stuffy; think plush beds, a rainfall shower that actually has decent pressure (a rarity in some historic spots), and Wi-Fi that held up for streaming Netflix after a day of sightseeing. I loved the little balcony overlooking the alley – quiet in the mornings, but come evening, you’d catch snippets of chatter from folks dining at that tiny trattoria on Via Pellicciai, just around the corner. Oh, and pro tip: if you’re here in winter, the heating works like a charm, but summers can get toasty, so crank that AC early. Minor gripe? The stairs – no elevator, so pack light if you’re on an upper floor, but hey, it adds to the adventure.
All in all, if you’re the type who wants to live like a local rather than just visit, this is your spot. You’re smack in the heart of it all – a quick stroll to Juliet’s House for that cheesy balcony photo, or over to Piazza delle Erbe for market vibes and aperitivo at sunset. I spent my days exploring without ever needing public transport, and nights unwinding with a glass of Valpolicella from the nearby enoteca. It’s not perfect – the historical center means some tourist noise filters in – but that’s Verona for you. I’d book it again in a heartbeat, especially for couples or small groups who appreciate the self-catered freedom. Trust me, you’ll leave feeling like you’ve uncovered a hidden gem in one of Italy’s most romantic cities. (Word count: 428)

Everything was wonderful! We were very pleased with our vacation!

We think the bathroom leaked a bit so the floor was wet during our stay, also you probably need to bring your own bathroom amenities (they had towels and hairdyer only). But it was not a big issue, apart from that we have no other complain. The location was perfect! 10 minutes from the train station with direct bus, practically within walking distance to everything. We were able to check-in a little earlier (that's a big plus!!!) And the communication with the team (owner) was also easy!

Very good location, clean apartment and very receptive host.
What could be improved: A little bit to cold for usSands from Ireland – 24 June 2024 (9/10)
Exceptional location in the Centre of Verona.. wonderful restaurant underneath which we ate in for two nights. Reasonably quite for the Centre of a large city. Wonderful safe vibrant area.
What could be improved: Whilst the apartment was exceptional clean.. the bathroom definetely needs attention, possibly the replacement of the shower.Visalli from Australia – 3 March 2024 (10/10)
Had everything I needed. Host Sofie was amazing! Couldn't do enough to make sure I was comfortable and had everythig I needed right until my departure when she organised my taxi for me.
What could be improved: Just to let them know incase they don't. The tap in the kitchen dripped no matter how hard I tried to turn off the tap. But thats ok I just put cloth under it so I did not have to listen to it dripping.Olga from Italy – 7 April 2025 (9/10)
Soggiorno perfetto!
L'appartamento è spazioso, pulito e ben curato.
Luca from Italy – 3 November 2024 (10/10)
Soggiorno in famiglia perfetto, dall'accoglienza pronta a soddisfare ogni richiesta alla posizione…appartamento pulito e confortevole..siamo sempre usciti a piedi perche' al centro ..pieno di locali e a 2 passi dall'Arena..partono tutti i mezzi in qualsiasi direzione dalla piazza…sicuramente consigliatissimo.Grazie a presto

Andrii from Ukraine – 10 March 2024 (10/10)

Struttura situata a pochi passi dall'Arena, spaziosa e accogliente.
