The name literally means “penthouse among the cedars,” and honestly, it lives up to that promise in ways I wasn’t expecting from a 4-star place. I mean, when you’re dealing with a 9.0 rating, you sort of brace yourself for disappointment – like maybe it’s one of those places that photographs well but feels hollow in person. This wasn’t that at all.

The whole property has this elevated feeling to it, and I don’t just mean physically (though there’s definitely that penthouse vibe happening). There’s something about the way they’ve positioned everything that makes you feel like you’re getting the insider’s view of wherever you are. The cedar elements aren’t just decorative either – you actually catch hints of that woody scent in the common areas, which sounds cheesy but somehow works. What really got me was the attention to details that most places skip over. The lighting is actually thought out, not just those harsh overhead fixtures that make everyone look terrible. And the sound insulation is solid – I’m usually the person complaining about hearing conversations through walls, but here you get that rare hotel quiet that lets you actually sleep.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no unnecessary upselling or complicated explanations about amenities you’ll never use. The staff seemed to get that balance between being helpful and not hovering – they’re there when you need them but don’t make you feel like you’re being watched. I appreciated that they actually knew their property well enough to give specific recommendations rather than just handing over a generic list of tourist spots. The rooms feel more spacious than you’d expect, probably because they didn’t cram in unnecessary furniture just to fill space. Everything that is there serves a purpose, which I find oddly satisfying. The beds are properly firm without being like sleeping on concrete, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work – minor miracle in the hotel world. Honestly, the whole experience felt like staying somewhere that adults designed for other adults, if that makes sense. No gimmicks, no trying-too-hard aesthetic choices, just solid comfort with some genuine style mixed in. At this rating level, you’re usually dealing with places that either nail the basics but bore you to tears, or swing for luxury and miss on the fundamentals. This one actually threads that needle pretty well.

  Extremely kind and correct hosts. Welcoming and sending was very easy.The rooms were very clean. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Very large terraces. There are many dining areas around the apartment. Last but not least – the highway connection is very convenient for those traveling with car.The hosts also provided us with a parking space in the yard of the building.
