Bed & Breakfast Agli Aceri Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Bed & Breakfast Agli Aceri, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the quiet residential street in Borgo Milano. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This three-star B&B sits in a charming neighborhood that feels authentically Italian — none of that touristy hustle you get closer to the arena. The building itself has this understated elegance, and I immediately got the sense that the owners actually care about what they’re doing here.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Borgo Milano — you’re close enough to Verona center (maybe 15 minutes by foot) but far enough away that you can actually breathe. The area around Via Chierighini feels like where real Veronese people live, with local cafés and that authentic morning bustle. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 9.0 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. Plus, there’s free parking right on site, which honestly saved me about 25 euros a day compared to what I’d pay in the historic center.
Sleep Quality That Actually Matters
Let me tell you about the beds — because this is where Agli Aceri really shines. I’m usually a pretty light sleeper, especially when traveling, but I slept like a rock here. The room I stayed in had this perfect combination of firm mattress and quality linens that just worked. No creaky springs, no lumpy spots, just solid comfort. The rooms themselves are clean and well-maintained, nothing fancy but everything you need. Actually, the whole place has this quiet, peaceful vibe that makes you want to linger over your morning coffee.
Morning Rituals
Breakfast here is the kind of simple, well-done affair that sets the tone for your whole day. Fresh pastries, good coffee (this is Italy, after all), and local touches that remind you where you are. The owners — and I got to chat with them a bit — clearly know their guests and pay attention to the details. It’s served in a cozy space that feels more like eating at someone’s home than a commercial operation. Nothing elaborate, but honestly refreshing compared to those massive hotel buffets where half the food sits under heat lamps.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.4 rating, this place is doing something right, and after staying here, it’s pretty clear what that is. It’s the combination of location (close but not chaotic), genuine hospitality, and those little things that matter when you’re traveling — like actually getting a good night’s sleep and not paying through the nose for parking. The B&B attracts people who want to experience Verona without all the tourist markup and noise. If you’re looking for a spa or fancy amenities, this isn’t your place. But if you want a comfortable base with owners who care and a neighborhood that feels real, Agli Aceri delivers exactly what it promises.

One of the few B&B's that still have a live host. The house has a special charm amplified by the owner's (Stefano) hospitality. He obviously likes working with guests. The free breakfast was Italian, but still excellent. The area is quiet and within walking distance from Verona's main attractions.

The small hotel is located in a very quiet and pleasant location. At the same time, the center of Verona is 20 minutes by bus. Very comfortably.
