You know what caught me off guard about Best Western Hotel Fiera Verona? It’s actually way more stylish than I expected from the chain name. I mean, Best Western doesn’t exactly scream boutique hotel, but this place has some serious character that surprised me when I first walked into that lobby.

The location is honestly perfect if you’re planning to hit up any trade shows or events – it’s practically next door to the exhibition center, which is why I ended up there in the first place. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: even if you’re not doing the business travel thing, this spot gives you this really nice balance between being close to Verona‘s main attractions without dealing with all the tourist chaos in the historic center. You can actually get a decent night’s sleep here, which – trust me – is harder to come by than you’d think in some of the old town hotels where every Vespa sounds like it’s driving through your room at 2 AM.

The rooms are what I’d call smartly designed rather than flashy. Four-star comfort that doesn’t try too hard, if that makes sense. Good beds (seriously, I’m picky about mattresses), decent shower pressure, and they’ve got this modern Italian aesthetic going on that feels authentic rather than trying to fake some Renaissance palazzo vibe. The staff actually knows the area well too – I got better restaurant recommendations from the front desk than from half the travel blogs I’d read beforehand. They pointed me toward this little osteria about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise, and honestly, it ended up being one of those meals you remember years later.

What really works about this place is how it sits in that sweet spot between professional and personal. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it consistently delivers on what matters. Parking is straightforward (and free, which is basically a miracle in Italy), the breakfast is actually good with local pastries and proper coffee, and you’re close enough to catch a bus or taxi into the heart of Verona without breaking the bank. I found myself walking to Porta Nuova station pretty easily, which connects you to everything you need. The whole area has this lived-in Italian neighborhood feel during the day – real people going about their business, not just tourists taking selfies every five meters. It’s refreshing, honestly.

  Our room was clean, quiet, and quite big! The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The 12pm check out time was great, as was the breakfast.
  
  The staff were helpful and friendly.
  
  What could be improved: Despite looking close to the train station, it is not. You need to walk around 20-25 mins to get to the accomodation. The accomodation is also quite far from the old town (about 30/35 min walk). However, we used the low cost “Verona bikes” to get into the old town and it only took around 10 mins!
  
  The restaurant is efficient with good service but I thought the food was quite expensive for the quality.

  Comfortable room, nice breakfast, little outside the centre but bus stop is just in front of hotel which takes only 10 minutes to take you to the centre.
  The staff was super nice, we arrived early morning so they stored our luggage. We booked only for a night with breakfast included, but next day we had to eave early, so they offered to have breakfast a day before since we were already there. Such a lovely gesture.

  What could be improved: The only fault we could find was the hardness of the beds. Perhaps you could add a topper to the mattresses and this would soften them.

  This is a very solid hotel with only disadvantage: despite being seemingly close to the train station it is still a 30 min walk or a short bus ride. Apart from that just a great place to stay if they keep the room price low.
  
  What could be improved: As we arrived electricity was not working in the room, but they fixed it quickly during the day. Also the air conditioner, light and SOS buttons are situated not very conveniently, one has to be careful not to press SOS accidently.

  The hotel room was very comfortable and clean, they even provided slippers and bathrobes which gret.
  Location was good, quite close to Verona center.
  
  What could be improved: The room was NOT soundproof AT ALL!
  It was super noisy at night when I checked in already and you could hear every movement in the morning, from upstairs, the corridor and literally everywhere.
  So if you are a light sleeper you will definitely need ear plugs!!

  The room was spacious and the hotel staff friendly and easy going especially at the reception.
  
  What could be improved: The location was a little bit far from the center but public transport was very convinient.

  Reasonably sized room. Good powerful shower. Good ample buffet breakfast. Great coffee machine that used capsules. Supermarket is next door. Plentiful supply of tea and coffee plus kettle in room. Safe was also in room.
  
  What could be improved: It is located well away from the train station and even further from the city centre. It really is a trek by foot. However there is a bus stop nearby which has several bus services going to the centre.
