Bianco Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Tucked away on a quiet side street that most tourists walk right past, Bianco Apartment feels like stumbling upon a local secret in Verona. The building itself has that weathered Italian charm you can’t fake — you know, the kind where the stone steps are worn smooth from centuries of footsteps. When I first arrived, I honestly wasn’t sure I was in the right place because Vicoletto Cieco San Giovanni in Valle is more of a hidden alley than a proper street, but that’s exactly what makes this spot so special.
The Location Magic
Here’s what the guidebooks won’t tell you — this four-star property sits in what locals consider the real heart of Verona’s historic center. I mean, you’re literally steps away from San Giovanni in Valle, one of the city’s oldest churches that most visitors never even notice. The location score of 8.8 makes perfect sense once you realize you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about eight minutes, but you’re far enough from the tourist chaos to actually get some sleep. Couples seem to get this immediately — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of an ancient Italian city.
The Space Itself
The apartment layout is what really sets this place apart from your typical hotel room. You get a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, which is honestly rare in Verona’s historic center where most accommodations are carved out of medieval buildings. The kitchen is actually functional — I’m talking full-size appliances, not those tiny European versions that can barely heat water. The design strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the building’s age, though I’ll admit the bathroom could use a bit more space.
Neighborhood Insights
What I love about staying here is how quickly you slip into a local rhythm. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM — the smell of fresh bread actually woke me up on my second morning, which wasn’t entirely unwelcome. The evening passeggiata (that’s the Italian evening stroll tradition) flows right past your doorstep, so you can people-watch from the window or join the parade of locals heading toward Piazza delle Erbe. Parking is tricky in this area, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.3 rating reflects what I experienced — it’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Verona rather than just visiting. The property management is responsive without being intrusive, and they actually know the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots. You’re paying for location and authenticity here, and both deliver. Sure, it’s not going to have a concierge or room service, but when you can walk to some of Italy’s best restaurant options in under five minutes, who needs it? The apartment works especially well for couples or anyone who wants to experience Verona at a slower pace — you know, the way it’s meant to be experienced.
Hotels near me in Verona offer convenient access to the city center, where guests can easily walk to Juliet’s Balcony, Piazza delle Erbe, and authentic Italian trattorias.

Ruslan from Germany – 2 January 2025 (9/10)
It is a lovely and spacious apartment near the historic city center.
The area is peaceful and charming, with a convenient shop just a short walk away.
The apartment is equipped with a Smart TV and high-speed WiFi for your entertainment needs.
Two bathrooms add extra comfort, making it ideal for a family stay.
The dishwasher and washing machine are fantastic additions—very convenient!
The cookware set is practical and perfect for preparing meals.
What could be improved: Please consider providing tea spoons—one tiny spoon is just not practical for 4 people,
The pillows are very thin; additional thicker pillows would be greatly appreciated.Allan from United States – 22 July 2024 (1/10)
NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS PROPERTY IS TERRIBLE AND I SHOULD GET A REFUND FOR THE TRAUMA OF STAYING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS PROPERTY IS MISREPRESENTED!
What could be improved: 1. We were literally attacked by a swarm of wasps. Both my wife and I were bitten and after four days the stings still itch angrily. We didn't open a window so we didn't see how wasps could have been in the apartment unless they were living there.
2. The place looks like its 20 years older than the photos used to advertise it and lounge/dining/kitchen are actually really dark, not bright and cheery like the photos; the photos of the apartment look nothing like it at all.
3. The property has scaffolding all over it; you literally CANT SEE OUT ANY WINDOWS because of the hessian material covering the whole building, this looks rubbish and provides a very claustrophobic feeling, and also stops you from closing the blinds since the scaffolding is pushing up against the open blinds. No way we would have paid the price asked for an apartment without windows! discount would have been nice considering the 'under construction' state of the building.
4. There is very poor lighting in lounge dining, and kitchen, its like cooking in a dark cave.
5. Terrible quality kitchen utensils, not a single tea spoon, no tongs. Not even a tiny bottle of olive oil, salt, pepper, paper towels, napkins, you know all that stuff that every other guest leaves in the apartment over and over again, go buy it yourself because this apartment has NOTHING!
6. There are power strips and extension cables all over the place. I had to take the coffee machine to the laundry to plug it in because the coffee machine, toaster, etc er dont work on the jury rigged power strips sitting on the kitchen bench with the cables all over the show.
7. Only a single plug on each side of the bed was being used by lamps, had to unplug the lamps to plug in our chargers, this is what most people do, how about putting a power strip HERE so we can charge phones and use lamps at the same time.
8. Large flush button falls off the wall when you flush the toilet.Alessandra from Italy – 18 July 2024 (8/10)
Posizione e comfort dell’appartamento
What could be improved: Lavori in corso non lo avevo notato, ma per noi nel weekend non è stato un grande problema visto che erano fermi, ma le imposte della camera non si potevano chiudere viste le impalcature presenti/ assenza ascensore ma lo sapevamoSteve from United Kingdom – 23 June 2024 (7/10)
Met on arrival.
Good location 10 minutes from centre of town.
Celtic Bar down the road good for beer.
What could be improved: Minimum lighting in living room. Too dark to read!
Whole building clad in scaffolding..
TV quite old and HDMI sockets not compatible with Firestick.
Taps in kitchen need fixing.Emma from Australia – 27 May 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was big enough for our family. Kids slept on the sofa bed and said the bed was comfortable. Cooking facilities were good. Was a 20 minute walk to the Arena. If arriving to Verona on the train I would recommend getting a bus to Piazza Isolo as it is quite a long walk from the train station. We were greeted at the apartment and given instructions on how to use the shower and were shown where everything was.
What could be improved: There are some works being done on the building. The shutters on the windows cannot be shut due to the scaffolding. The curtains are very sheer and do not block out light. So it is very light in the bedroom early in the morning.Kevin from United Kingdom – 7 August 2023 (9/10)
Met all our needs..they ‘get it’

Beautiful apartment and Team of people I spoke with were amazing; responsive to my questions and even ordered us a taxi for the station for our departure.
Comfortable bed, lounge and lovely kitchen and bathroom.
What could be improved: A couple of tiny details, like instructions for the shower and side lamp needed charging so had to hunt for a cable.Cari from United Kingdom – 7 July 2023 (9/10)
Host was very nice and the apartment so so spacious and in a perfect location close to everything but in a really quiet part of town.
Lakmal from Germany – 28 November 2022 (9/10)
Very spacy and classic living area with a smart TV. One full bathroom and an extra WC. spacious wardrobe. Location is accessible via public transit easily and also near to some nice attractions. Wonderful customer service with lots of tips to make our stay in Verona a memorable one.
What could be improved: Bed and the sofa seem bit old and they were making little noises. But they didn't bother us too much.
