You know, that bridge is one of those ancient Roman ones that locals cross without a second thought, but for visitors like me, it’s a total highlight—stepping over the Adige River with views of the hills and that old theater ruins just a stone’s throw away. The building itself is this restored historic gem, all exposed brick and wooden beams that give it that boutique vibe without trying too hard. Check-in was a breeze; the host— this friendly guy named Marco, I think—handed over the keys with a quick rundown of the neighborhood, including where to grab the best spritz at that tiny bar on Via Sottoriva (it’s hidden, but worth it). My apartment was on the second floor—no elevator, mind you, so pack light if stairs aren’t your thing—but once inside, it opened up into this cozy space with a kitchenette that actually had decent cookware, not the flimsy stuff you sometimes get. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, like sinking into a cloud after a day of cobblestone walking, and the bathroom had those rain showerheads that make you linger a bit too long.

What really sets this place apart, though, is how it blends right into the pulse of Verona without the chaos—it’s smack in the middle of the action, but come evening, when the day-trippers head back to their buses near the Arena (which is only a 10-minute stroll away, by the way), things quiet down to this peaceful hum. I mean, you might hear faint church bells from Santa Anastasia nearby or the occasional scooter zipping past, but it’s not intrusive; actually, it added to the charm, like living in a postcard. The decor’s got that modern-rustic thing going on—think sleek espresso machines next to vintage lamps—and the Wi-Fi was solid, which mattered when I was uploading photos of Juliet’s balcony (overrated, but you have to see it). Parking’s a hassle in the historic center, as you’d expect— we ended up using a lot a few blocks over on Lungadige something-or-other, about 15 euros a day—but honestly, who needs a car when everything’s walkable? Oh, and if you’re there in summer, book early because the place fills up with festival-goers for the opera season at the Arena; it’s magical, but the streets get packed.

All in all, if you’re after a spot that feels authentic rather than some cookie-cutter hotel chain, Boutique Apartments Verona is a winner—rated 9.1 for good reason, I’d say. It’s perfect for couples or solo travelers who want to pretend they’re locals for a few days, sipping coffee on your balcony overlooking the river (mine had a partial view, which was dreamy at sunset). Sure, the AC could be a tad stronger during those humid July nights, but that’s Italy for you—embrace it. I left feeling like I’d uncovered a secret, and I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially for the proximity to those hole-in-the-wall trattorias on Via Mazzini where the risotto’s to die for. If Verona’s on your list, this is where you stay; it just makes the whole trip click.

  Home from home, fully equipped apartment. Very clean Host was amazing with great communication. A welcome pack of water and a delicious bottle of wine. Just a short walk to Ponte Prieta bridge and a slightly longer walk to the arena and juliets balcony. Myself and my wife would 100% recommend these apartments. Thankyou Louise

  We picked this apartment because of its location. Looked good on pictures. Must say we couldn't pick any better! Lovely apartment, very cosy, fantastic decor and very well equipped kitchen! Only short walk from city centre and less than 10mins from car park so location couldn't be any better. Bonus was washing machine so we could wash our stuff half way through the trip!

  This apartment is the perfect destination. It is located in the very center of the city and everything you need is nearby. Communication with the host was excellent and easy. We got all the necessary information from him and the host is very accommodating and kind. The apartment is excellently equipped and has everything necessary for a pleasant stay. Cleanliness is at an enviable level! I am also a renter and I know how much effort is required to maintain an apartment at this level. Congratulations and praise!

  Very comfortable and nice place! The location is perfect, you can visit top locations and restaurants within a nice walk. The hosts are very kind and responded to all our requests.

  Location was brilliant right in centre of Verona. Walking distance to everything. Very quiet area. Lovely decor in Apartment. Beds very comfortable. Very spacious for our family of 4 adults. Basic food essentials were left for our use. Super host Louise. Answered txts straight away & very helpful with queries. Large towels were available x 4 of us.
  Powerful shower in main bathroom. Washing machine was great to have as weather very hot!
  
  What could be improved: Just a small recommendation- coat of paint on interior walls would make the standard of this lovely apartment Exceptional!!
