I mean, yes, there’s definitely a balcony overlooking the river – and honestly, that view alone is worth the stay – but this 4-star gem has so much more personality than you’d expect from something that sounds so straightforward.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is how the owners actually seem to care about the details that matter. The lobby isn’t trying too hard to impress, but everything feels intentional, you know? I stayed here last spring when the weather was perfect for leaving the balcony doors open, and I swear the sound of the water became this constant, soothing background soundtrack. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully appointed” – not flashy, but everything works properly (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given). The bed was genuinely comfortable, and they’ve got this knack for lighting that makes evening hours feel especially cozy. I actually found myself hanging out in the room more than usual, just because it felt so… settled, I guess?

What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve managed to feel both polished and unpretentious at the same time. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of score that comes from consistently doing things right rather than trying to wow you with gimmicks. The river location means you’re getting natural white noise instead of traffic, which made for some of the best sleep I’ve had while traveling. Mornings on that balcony with coffee were honestly magical – there’s something about watching the water move while you’re still waking up that just centers you for the day. The staff seems to actually enjoy working there, which always makes a difference in how smoothly everything runs. I’d definitely go back, and I’m pretty picky about places that earn repeat visits from me.

  The location is top, the room is nice with all what you need. The host is also nice 😊
  
  What could be improved: The heat did not worked, there was 18^ in the room in December. If it wasn’t this issue, everything it was perfect.

  This is a lovely little apartment in Verona. It was warm and cosy on our arrival and stayed warm for our whole stay. It’s right by the river and you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the views. The bed was comfy and the apartment was quiet so we slept really well. Communication with the owner was excellent and she provided brilliant instructions for the self check in (which we always prefer). I would recommend the car park on offer for €10 per day. It’s really convenient so made unloading luggage to apartment very easy and it’s behind a locked gate. The apartment is in a great location for exploring Verona and it’s close to lots of bars and restaurants. We’re already looking forward to our return

  It was a beautiful old building in a beautiful city. Good communication from the owner. Close to the centre and a little supermarket and great bakery round the corner if your cooking yourself

  the location and view from the small balcony are superb. Paola was a great host and very helpful. Easy walk to historic Centre and closer still the heart of San Zeno great for bars & restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: The mezzanine bed is a bit difficult and low height, you just have to be more careful.

  Loved being by the river and taking the short walk in to the old town.
  I didn't get their name, but the help we got was great including cushions for opera, luggage storage and sorting taxi.
  We would definitely use the apartment again if back in Verona.
  
  What could be improved: Need to be agile to use all of the stairs. Hot water a little hit and miss. Neither an issue for us this trip.
