Casa Borsari Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking down the narrow cobblestones of Vicolo San Giovanni in Foro, you’d almost miss Casa Borsari Apartment if you weren’t looking for it — and that’s exactly what makes it special. This four-star gem sits tucked away in Verona’s historical center, where the ancient Roman forum once buzzed with activity. I mean, you’re literally staying where gladiators and merchants walked centuries ago, which honestly gives me chills every time I think about it.
Location & Neighborhood
The location here is absolutely unbeatable — there’s a reason couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. You’re a two-minute stroll from Juliet’s House (yes, that Juliet), and the Piazza delle Erbe is practically around the corner. What I love most is how you can slip away from the tourist crowds just by turning down this quiet vicolo, yet you’re still in the thick of everything that makes Verona magical. The narrow street actually helps muffle the noise, so you get that authentic medieval atmosphere without the chaos.
The Apartment Experience
This isn’t your typical hotel room — Casa Borsari offers proper apartment living with all the character you’d expect from a centuries-old building. The exposed beams and stone details remind you constantly that you’re sleeping in history, but everything’s been thoughtfully updated for modern comfort. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped, which comes in handy when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the morning market in Piazza delle Erbe and cook something simple. Actually, having that flexibility makes longer stays feel much more natural than bouncing between restaurants every meal.
Practical Perks
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to blend old-world charm with practical necessities. The WiFi actually works (not always a given in these thick-walled medieval buildings), and the heating keeps things cozy during Verona’s surprisingly chilly winters. Parking can be tricky in the historical center — well, it’s basically impossible right outside — but the staff knows all the nearby options and will point you toward the closest garages. You know what though? Once you’re settled in, you honestly won’t need a car for anything in the city center.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.3 rating really speaks for itself, but I think what draws people back is how Casa Borsari manages to feel both special and livable. You’re not just visiting Verona — you’re actually living in it for a few days, shopping at the local markets, discovering which cafés make the best cappuccino, maybe even nodding hello to the same shopkeepers each morning. Couples especially seem to fall for the romantic atmosphere (I mean, you’re in the city of Romeo and Juliet), but honestly, the intimate scale and authentic setting would appeal to anyone who wants to experience Verona like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.

Great location, close to everything. Very spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely apppinted apartment. Check in was very smooth. Check out was very easy. Complimentary bottles of water and non-alcoholic beverages were waiting in the fridge. A complimentary bottle each of white wine and red wine was also provided.
What could be improved: The towels were clean but will need replacing soon. The bedding and pillows were also very clean but need replacing soon also. Otherwise everything else was very good.Aldi from Netherlands – 5 June 2024 (10/10)
Everything was perfect. The apartment was spacious, clean, and situated right in the historic center. The host generously stocked the fridge with plenty of water, both still and sparkling, which was a thoughtful gesture.
What could be improved: The Nespresso machine didn't work, but that ended up being a blessing in disguise. We discovered the best café in Verona, Caffè Borsari, located right in front of the apartment! 🙂Mark from United Kingdom – 26 April 2024 (10/10)
Perfect Location and very well equipped, comfortable beds.
What could be improved: No complaints at allCaroline from Ireland – 8 October 2023 (10/10)
Stunning spacious apartment in an excellent location. Two wonderfully double rooms, large and comfortable bed, stunning furniture in master bedroom. Short walking distance to all of the main attractions, wonderful bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Our lovely host provided us with an abundance of fresh bottled water, soft drinks, Prosecco – it was wonderful and so thoughtful. Would recommend to anyone, and would love to go back!
What could be improved: A little bit of noise from the street at night, not really an issue for me, fell asleep after about 10-15 mins (would recommend earplugs if you’re a bit sensitive to noise)Joanne from United Kingdom – 30 April 2023 (8/10)
the location is great, right in the centre of the city. the apartment is really nice and has two good sized bedrooms.
What could be improved: it would be good to have more than one mirror in the apartment – the only mirror is in the bathroom.
due to the great location the front room is a bit noisy at night from the street noise.Carlotta from Italy – 22 February 2023 (10/10)

Location was excellent and apartment was well appointed. Private host was lovely and provided plenty of accessories like toiletries and bottled water. Ideally placed for tourist attractions within Verona and a 15 minute walk to the train station for activities out with Verona.
What could be improved: Could be noisy at night due to central location but easily solved with ear plugs.
