Casa Magnolia Overview
First Impressions
Walking up Corso Porta Nuova, you’ll spot Casa Magnolia tucked right into the heart of Verona‘s historical center — and honestly, the location couldn’t be better. This four-star boutique property sits exactly where you want to be, with that perfect 10.0 location score making complete sense once you’re there. The building itself has that classic Italian charm you’d expect, but what really struck me was how quickly the staff responds to questions (they actually mean it when they say they’re fast to help).
The Heart of Verona
You know what’s great about staying here? You’re literally in the real center of everything — I mean, you can walk to Juliet’s balcony, the Arena, and Piazza delle Erbe without breaking a sweat. The Corso Porta Nuova address puts you on one of Verona’s main thoroughfares, so there’s always something happening outside your window. I found myself just wandering out for morning coffee and stumbling onto little piazzas I hadn’t planned to visit. The couples who stay here definitely have the right idea — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll back to your hotel after dinner without worrying about taxis or long walks.
Your Room Experience
The room I stayed in was well-appointed without being overly fancy — which honestly felt just right for a four-star place. You get the comfort and amenities you need, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious. The windows open onto the street life below, and if you’re someone who likes a bit of urban energy, you’ll appreciate the gentle buzz of Italian life happening right outside. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t miss anything from home.
Daily Life at Casa Magnolia
What I really appreciated was how the hotel fits into the rhythm of Verona rather than trying to separate you from it. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the best gelato spot (which isn’t the touristy one everyone finds) and tell you when the local markets are worth visiting. Mornings here feel authentically Italian, with the sounds of the city waking up and that particular quality of light that makes you want to grab a cappuccino and plan your day slowly.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.6 rating really reflects what you get here — solid comfort in an unbeatable location without any pretense. Couples especially seem to connect with Casa Magnolia because it strikes that sweet spot between being special enough for a romantic trip but relaxed enough that you can just be yourselves. You’re not paying for over-the-top amenities you might not use; instead, you’re investing in being right where Verona’s magic happens. When you can walk out your door and be immediately immersed in one of Italy’s most beautiful cities, that’s honestly worth more than any fancy spa or elaborate breakfast spread.

Reviews of Casa Magnolia
Silviya from Switzerland – 13 February 2025 (9/10)
The host was extremely helpful. Took a lot of time with us to answer all our questions and provided some recommendations for us. The location was really central and convenient whenever we needed to go. Easy access everywhere.
What could be improved: I wished perhaps to have some supplies available as we were there for 2 days and even though you have appliances i had to stock up everything to be able to use it. So maybe just a small quantity of coffee or tea would have been useful. But that is really minor.Edmar from Australia – 12 January 2025 (9/10)
The location was excellent. The apartment as very nice and very well equipped (i.e, it actually had most kitchen utensils that you need). Plenty of space for the 5 of us. We were there in winter but with its courtyard it would be even nicer in summer.
What could be improved: We were told about the damage bond before hand – not a big deal but would have liked to have known to expect it.Alexander from Austria – 4 January 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: We liked everything about this propertyBart from United States – 14 October 2024 (8/10)
we liked the location. and the fact that it is right in the center but very quiet. the accommodations are fine, even if a little dated but everything was comfortable. the bathroom was nice, shower hot, and bedrooms were nice. the living room was comfortable.
What could be improved: little things – a soap holder in the shower, shower drain was clogged but managed to unplug it. otherwise all was good.Rebecca from United States – 22 July 2024 (9/10)
Very spacious unit in a wonderful location! Finally amazing AC! We had been traveling for weeks without anything that resembled good AC and it has been hot. This was a huge relief.
What could be improved: They are very particular about making sure to check in by 7 pm. Also the only thing that would have made this place better would be a washer and dryer in the unit.Henderson from United Kingdom – 18 July 2024 (8/10)
Really lovely apartment, minutes from the Main square in Verona

Great space, my three teenagers each had their own bed and there’s a big living room to hang out together. The space is walking distance from the train station and super close to all of the shops and attractions. We loved our stay!
What could be improved: My only suggestion would be a better outdoor lighting setup. It’s dark navigating your way in from the main road and using multiple keys.Elaine from United Kingdom – 16 June 2024 (9/10)
Location was perfect, easy walking distance to all sites in Verona. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped.
What could be improved: My friend commented on the lack of a mirror in the smaller double bedroom.Jane from United States – 18 August 2022 (9/10)
