I mean, sure, it looks good online, but walking into that space for the first time – honestly, I wasn’t prepared for how thoughtfully everything was put together.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish home rather than a typical rental, which I guess makes sense given that 9.1 rating it’s earned. Everything’s been chosen with care, from the way the light hits those hardwood floors in the morning to the little touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just crashing for the night. The kitchen actually works – and I say that as someone who’s dealt with plenty of “kitchenettes” that are more decorative than functional. Here you can properly cook if you want to, though honestly, with all the local food options nearby, you might not need to.

What really struck me was the attention to detail throughout the space. The bedding is that perfect weight where you sleep deeply without overheating, and there’s proper storage so you’re not living out of your suitcase the whole time. The bathroom – well, let’s just say it’s clear they understand that travelers appreciate good water pressure and space to spread out your things. I also loved that they’ve managed to keep the character of the building while making everything feel fresh and updated. You get these lovely original features mixed with modern comfort, which isn’t always easy to pull off.

The building itself has this quiet, residential feel that I really appreciated. You’re not dealing with the constant elevator dings and hallway chatter you get at big hotels, but you’re also not isolated. Check-in was straightforward – none of that awkward hunting around for key boxes or confusing instructions that can make apartment stays stressful. They’ve clearly thought through the practical stuff that can make or break a stay. Parking wasn’t an issue when I visited, though I’d probably ask about that ahead of time depending on when you’re traveling and what you’re driving.

Looking back, what made Casa Sgarzarie work so well was how it struck that balance between feeling special and being livable. It’s got that boutique hotel polish but with the space and flexibility of a proper apartment. Whether you’re planning to explore all day and just need a beautiful place to crash, or you want to spend lazy mornings reading by the windows, it handles both scenarios perfectly. At four stars, you’re getting solid value – especially considering that rating suggests most people leave pretty happy with their choice.

  First family trip to Verona. Very simple access arranged with all necessary information provided in advance and based in a very good location close to the christmas market, shops and restaurants. Appartment was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. Ample room for a family of 4 with access to international TV channels and good catering facilities. Was able to walk within metres to all facilities. Appartment was very clean and was heated for our arrival in winter which I know my husband appreciated! Tea coffee and welcome items also much appreciated.

  The apartment was perfect, very spacious, excellent location, close to all the atractions. Check in was clear and easy. The hosts were super nice answering fast all of my questions.

  The rooms were very well set out. All amenities were amazing, we loved the storage perfect for a girls weekend or even more days. The apartament was very well equiped and you can also cook if you don't want to go out. The locatiin was magnifique and onlu few steps away frompiazza delle erbe, arena di verona, casa di giullietta, museo maffei, castello di san pietro etc. The owners were amazing, very polite, attentive and welcoming, even only in messages. If we comw back to Verona we definitivily stay at the same place. Thank you A&G for making our trip to Verona a great one.
