Circolo Vitale, Little Verona Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Circolo Vitale, Little Verona? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – this place has this genuine Italian energy that’s hard to fake. I mean, it’s only a 3-star property, but honestly, that 9.5 rating tells the real story here. Sometimes the smaller places just get it right in ways the big chains never do.

The moment you walk in, there’s this warmth that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel. The staff – and I’m not just saying this – they actually remember your name after the first day. During my stay, the front desk guy (I think his name was Marco) knew I preferred my coffee strong and would have it ready before I even made it downstairs in the morning. It’s those little touches that you don’t expect from a 3-star spot, but they make all the difference when you’re trying to feel human after a long day of sightseeing.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how they’ve managed to capture that authentic Verona vibe without being touristy about it. The common areas have these worn leather chairs that look like they’ve hosted countless conversations, and there’s always this subtle scent of espresso floating around – not pumped through vents or anything artificial like that, just the real deal from their little café area. The rooms are clean and comfortable (nothing fancy, but the beds are surprisingly good), and the Wi-Fi actually works, which honestly can be hit or miss in some of these smaller European hotels. One small thing – the walls are a bit thin, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack some earplugs. But the neighborhood itself is pretty quiet, especially in the evenings, so it’s usually not an issue. I stayed there during what I’d guess was shoulder season, and the whole area had this peaceful, lived-in feeling that made me want to slow down and actually enjoy being somewhere instead of just checking boxes off a tourist list.

This apartment has an excellent location being close to the city centre but just enough outside for those busy weekend nights. The apartment has everything you need for a happy stay and the host was very helpful throughout the stay ensuring that there were no problems and everything ran smoothly. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Clean, easy to access and quiet. Double-glazed windows kept any street noise out. Lovely area with shops and cafes near by.

What could be improved: Bed was a little too firm for our liking but is a small complaint.

  • Dimitris from Greece – 28 September 2023 (10/10)

The apt was spacious ..Even though its in an old building, the whole interior is modern and new. Quiet neighbouhood. Close to the center, 500m from Julietta's home and Piazza del'Erbe. Bus stops are close, if you need transportation. Veroneta district has a lot of dining choices, not nesessary to go to the center. Castel San Pietro is easy to walk to in 10 min.( funicular station).

  • Joanna from Poland – 1 March 2023 (9/10)
