I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Cittadella Modern Studio – Pet friendly!, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The exclamation point made me wonder if it was trying too hard, you know? But after staying there with my dog Charlie, I get why they’re excited about the pet policy. This isn’t just one of those places that reluctantly allows animals – they actually seem to understand what traveling with pets means.

The studio itself has that clean, minimalist vibe that works really well in a 3-star setup. Nothing fancy, but everything feels thoughtfully chosen. The flooring is this smooth, easy-to-clean surface that’s perfect if your furry friend tracks in a bit of mud (speaking from experience here). What really impressed me was the little welcome setup they had for Charlie – a proper food bowl and even a small toy. I mean, most pet-friendly places just charge you the fee and call it a day. The space is compact but smart about storage, with these clever built-in shelves that keep your stuff organized without feeling cramped. The kitchen area is small but functional – I actually cooked a few meals there, and the cooktop heats evenly, which is more than I can say for some higher-end places I’ve stayed.

The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers on what it promises. The soundproofing is surprisingly good – Charlie can be a bit vocal when he hears people in the hallway, but the neighbors never complained, and I barely heard any street noise. Check-in was straightforward, though I’d recommend calling ahead if you’re arriving with pets, just to make sure they have the welcome kit ready. The location puts you within walking distance of some decent parks, which honestly sealed the deal for me. There’s this little green space about three blocks away that locals use for morning dog walks – not touristy at all, just neighbors and their pets. The only minor thing I’d change is the lighting in the bathroom; it’s a bit dim for morning routines, but that’s pretty nitpicky for what you’re paying. If you’re traveling with pets and want a place that actually gets it rather than just tolerates it, this studio hits the sweet spot between affordable and thoughtful.

  Spacious apartment with great lighting! Like having a washing machine and a drying rack! Location was great, between the train station and the main city area.

  The location is great, it is reachable within ten minutes from both, the train station and the arena.
  Windows open to a side street and to the inside courtyard. Very calm and quiet.
  The airconditioning is available, which provides a respite throughout summer heat.
  As a nice surprise, two cushions are provided in the flat if you visit verona during the opera festival.
  Checkin – out procedure is very simple.
  
  What could be improved: Almost all plates had cracks or were chipped.
  The clothes hangers were not enough and their quality was poor.
  As there was a lot of stuff in the flat, that stuff collected dust.
  It is understable that opera festival season attracts many tourists, but for the price over 100€ a night more care could be given to the state of the flat

  The apartment was very quiet. All the essentials plus some extras were present (coffee, salt, oil, bathroom amenities). The location was between the train station and the centre of town. Lots of drawers and closet space and a good air conditioning unit.
  
  What could be improved: There were no dish towels in the kitchen. The shower had a curtain instead of glass doors all around. But these were minor inconveniences.

  All was very good. Very comfortable and silent flat. There was nothing missing in the kitchen.
