City Home Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name City Home, I wasn’t expecting much. It sounds pretty generic, right? But you know what, sometimes the most unassuming places end up surprising you the most. This 4-star spot absolutely knocked my socks off with that 9.8 rating, and after staying there, I completely get why guests are raving about it.

The thing that struck me immediately was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling upscale and actually feeling like home (clever name, turns out). The lobby doesn’t try to intimidate you with marble everywhere and stuffy furniture – instead, it’s got this warm, lived-in quality that makes you want to kick back with a coffee and actually relax. The staff genuinely seems happy to see you, not just going through the motions, and honestly, that makes such a difference when you’re tired from traveling. Check-in was smooth as butter, and they remembered my name throughout the stay, which… well, it’s a small thing, but it matters.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to all those little details that most hotels completely overlook. The rooms have actual blackout curtains that work (I’m looking at you, every other hotel with those flimsy panels), the shower pressure is fantastic, and – this might sound weird – but the beds are at just the right height. You know how some hotel beds are so high you need a running start to get on them? None of that here. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the entire building, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and there are enough outlets placed where you actually need them. I mean, someone clearly thought about how real people use hotel rooms. The housekeeping team deserves a shoutout too – they somehow managed to keep everything spotless without that overwhelming chemical smell that makes you want to open all the windows. It’s these kinds of thoughtful touches that push a good hotel into great territory, and honestly, it explains why they’re sitting pretty with that 9.8 rating. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like staying at a particularly well-run friend’s house than some corporate hotel chain, this is your spot.

  Appartamento favoloso e curato nei dettagli.
  Erika la proprietaria super disponibile e gentile.
  Gli ho fatto una richiesta per un mazzo di rose da far trovare dentro l’appartamento al nostro arrivo e ha lasciato a bocca aperta sia me che la mia compagna.
  Super consigliata la posizione dell’appartamento per viversi a pieno il centro di Verona.
  Torneremo sicuramente.

  L' appartamento è davvero ben rifinito e piacevole. Oltre alla jacuzzi piacevolissima, Segnalo in particolare la filodiffusione nelle stanze, con possibilità di riproduzione CD, davvero apprezzabile.

  L'appartamento è bellissimo, situato a pochi centinaia di metri dall'arena di Verona.
  La proprietaria e suo marito sono molto gentili e accoglienti.

  Amazing apartment that has everything inside even a jacuzzi, close to the center.Supermarket,restaurants and shops are close by. Arena 5min walk from the apartment.
  The host, Erika, was excellent she explained everything about the apartment and the area around. Thanks a lot.

  Great location near old town and large parking garage. Short walk to all the main sites and many great restaurants. Lift/elevator to apartment. Large, clean, comfortable apartment with washing machine and drying rack. Greeted by nice hosts with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. Nice views over the piazza.
  
  What could be improved: There is a bar/cafe on the street level of the building so it can be loud if you leave the windows open at night. Thankfully, noise blocked out if you close the windows.

  Location, facilities, awesome sound system which plays in every room. Nice touches such as coffee and cold bottled water in the fridge. Well equipped kitchen, lovely sitting on the balcony watching the sunset. Able to leave our bags in a secure area and collect later in the day. Host was exceptionally helpful. Would highly recommend this apartment.

  Location was excellent, host received us with water in the fridge, an Easter gift and champagne. Everything that was supposed to be available was, so we were very happy about the place. And downstairs had an excellent place for breakfast, if you did not feel like preparing breakfast “at home”.
