Cortiletto Overview
Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first walked up to Cortiletto, I wasn’t expecting much from this 3-star spot. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t try too hard to impress you end up being exactly what you need. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about this little hotel that actually grew on me during my stay.
The thing about Cortiletto is that it feels like it’s run by people who actually care, which – let’s face it – isn’t always a given these days. The lobby’s got this lived-in charm that’s miles better than those sterile chain hotels, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions. My room was clean and comfortable enough, though I mean, don’t expect luxury – the 7.8 rating pretty much tells you what you’re getting. The bed was decent (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom was one of those compact European setups that somehow manages to fit everything you need without feeling cramped.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even on weekends. You can actually get some sleep here, which is more than I can say for some supposedly “better” places I’ve stayed. The breakfast situation is pretty standard continental fare – nothing fancy, but the coffee was strong and the pastries were fresh, so I can’t complain. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free too, which anyone who’s driven in busy areas will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The whole place just has this relaxed, no-nonsense vibe that makes you feel like you can breathe a little easier. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors, but sometimes you just want a solid, reliable place to crash that doesn’t cost a fortune. If you’re looking for somewhere that does the basics really well without any pretense, Cortiletto delivers on that promise.

Reviews of Cortiletto
Helen from Italy – 13 June 2024 (8/10)
A good space and location for family travel. 2 bed rooms and 2 bathrooms with a large living room and useable kitchen.
Location very close to Verona arena and city centre.
What could be improved: It would be nice if there was hand-soap in the bathroom or kitchen sink. Luckily we brought our own shampoo/soaps for showering. We used the laundry machine and placed a few t shirts outside the door but were told to keep them indoors. No space outdoor to leave washed clothes. Laundry machine and AC machine can use a good cleaning.Lucio from Italy – 5 November 2023 (8/10)
The location, very close to the center

The location and the look of the property for lovely.
What could be improved: The aircon was very week and only in lounge. Bedrooms had no aircon/fans. Not acceptable at mid July.
Irons coffees machine had strange plugs which did not fit anywhere so were unusable.Au from Albania – 11 June 2023 (8/10)
in center of everything, easy to access main bus station and touristic points

The location of this apartment is very good and close to everything in the historical parts of the city, yet in a calm and quiet street. The apartment felt very private.
We really liked the air condition that kept the apartment cool, especially at night as this allowed us to have a good sleep. There were also blinds so that we could make the apartment nearly completely dark. The bed was also comfortable. There was no duvets, but instead a big sheet, which I thought I would miss, but it was actually very comfortable with just the sheet.
Great with a washing machine in the apartment.
There is a shared terrace in the back that has a little table and chairs. The terrace is shared with the neighbouring apartment. Nice to have an outdoor escape as well.
Good communication with the caretaker before / during our stay.
What could be improved: The apartment in itself was nice, but there were some glitches that made it feel sloppily prepared. The pictures deffinetly make it look more homely than it was in reality. In reality it was very plain, nothing "extra" to make it feel more warm and welcoming.
In the bathroom there was someone elses body hair on the floor, which made the apartment feel more dirty than it probably was. The toilet seat was a bit yellowish (probably just because it has been used a lot). One of the light bulbs in the bathroom was out (over the sink). In the wardrobe we found extra pillows, but that had stains on them. There were only three random hangers in the wardrobe along with some random stuff that looked like someone just threw in there. The bed lamps were randomly placed on the dresser so we had to place them ourselves on the bed tables. The curtains in both bedroom and kitchen was not properly hung up and had some stains on them. The pillows on the couch was worn and made it feel a bit dirty. The plants in the back terrace and in the front looked very tired. The wifi was not working at all.
All in all, these glitches took down the whole experience. More sense of detail is so easy to fix and would make it even more comfortable for future guests. As it is now it feels like the owner dont really care about it, because if they did these glitches would not be there.
But despite that we had a good stay and the price / quality ratio is still high for this apartment. But due to the glitches we would most likely not come back again.Valentina from United States – 12 May 2022 (9/10)
Location was perfect.
What could be improved: No parking solution near by.Stavros1974 from Greece – 28 April 2022 (7/10)
Inside the old town, very close to most attractions. Good heating.
What could be improved: The water pressure in the bathroom is tragic. I almost could not wash the soap from my body when I took a shower. No comfortable beds. There was no hood over the electric stove.
