Dimore Verona Argento Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Dimore Verona Argento on Via Antonio Cantore, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. This four-star boutique property sits right in the Città Antica — and I mean right in the heart of everything that matters in Verona. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention, but once you step inside, you realize the owners really know what they’re doing.

The Perfect Location

Honestly, the location score of 9.9 isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s actually earned. You’re literally steps away from Juliet’s House, and the Arena di Verona is close enough that you can hear the applause from opera performances on summer evenings. What I love about this spot is that you’re in the thick of historic Verona, but Via Antonio Cantore itself isn’t one of those tourist-packed streets where you can’t move. It’s more like you’ve got this perfect base where locals still outnumber the tour groups, at least in the early mornings.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this wonderful mix of contemporary comfort and subtle nods to Verona’s history. You know what really impressed me? The attention to details that actually matter — like proper reading lights, enough outlets near the bed, and windows that actually open (which isn’t always a given in historic buildings). The bathrooms are modern and well-designed, though not huge — but honestly, who spends their time in Verona hanging out in their hotel room anyway?

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely rhythm to them. There’s no massive breakfast buffet, but what they do offer feels thoughtful rather than overwhelming. The staff — and this might sound small but it matters — actually remember your name and your coffee preferences after the first day. I found myself looking forward to those brief morning conversations before heading out to explore. The whole vibe is more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a typical hotel, which works perfectly in a city like Verona where you want to feel connected to the place, not isolated from it.

Why Guests Love It

The couples rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there. There’s something inherently romantic about the whole setup — maybe it’s the intimate scale, or the way you can slip out for an evening passeggiata and be back in minutes, or just the fact that you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Veronese rather than generically Italian. The 8.5 rating reflects what I experienced: a place that does the fundamentals really well without trying to be something it’s not. You’re paying for location, thoughtful service, and that intangible feeling of being in exactly the right spot to experience Verona properly.

great location, very nice stuff, apartment had everything we need, there is plenty of space

What could be improved: all great

  • Miriam from Ireland – 15 May 2024 (8/10)

    Amazing location. Very spacious

What could be improved: Arrived after 7 so was asked to pay a 30 euro charge in order 4 someone to meet us with key and go through apartment

  • Cheryl from United States – 9 May 2024 (9/10)

QUIET, location, bathrooms are big and size of rooms. I would stay here again due to those things.

What could be improved: The bedrooms are in bad need of black out curtains. That I’d the only problem with this apt.

  • Maria from Austria – 5 November 2023 (9/10)

Excellent location, next to Arena Di Verona. 3 bedroom apartment with completely well furnished kitchen. Air conditioning was saving from August heat. Nicely renovated and stylish place.

What could be improved: We had some issues with the boiler and hot water, but managed to deal with it after a while.

  • Debbie from United Kingdom – 31 October 2023 (9/10)

We liked the property , it was a lovely clean and modern apartment. The showers were good and the bedrooms were a good size. The kitchen was ample as was the living space.

What could be improved: We would have liked another sofa rather than a TV there were only 4 of us so at times we had to sit around the table. There was supposed to be 6 of us and that would not have been as comfortable.

  • Iris from Belgium – 30 October 2023 (9/10)

The apartment was impeccable, perfectly located and the communication with the host was perfect. Thank you to Giulia for the welcome.

  • Kirsten from United States – 9 July 2023 (7/10)

    Very good location!

What could be improved: We were 3 people and I booked this apartment specifically because it has 3 bedrooms! Well one wasn’t really a bedroom, it had a bed in the family room! That bed was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a hard floor with spirals poking you everywhere! The second bed was the opposite the mattress was so soft and seemed worn down so it was not really comfortable either! The third bedroom was ok with a somewhat comfortable bed and the bathroom was redone!

  • Jenny from United Kingdom – 17 June 2023 (9/10)

A large, spacious apartment in an excellent location on a very quiet street – just a few minutes walk away from the main plaza with numerous restaurants, bus stops, tourist information etc and the Arena. Appreciated having an earlier check in request accepted and being able to leave our luggage in their office until we were ready to leave. Great showers and very comfy beds. Air conditioning worked well. Thoroughly recommend.

What could be improved: Only 1 sofa which was fine for us 3 but perhaps not so good if there are 6 of you. Didn’t do any cooking but noticed there wasn’t an oven – just a hob, microwave, toaster & kettle.

  • Peter from Australia – 27 July 2022 (8/10)

Nice apartment,. very well located, clean, comfortable.

  • Walter from United States – 22 July 2022 (9/10)

    Great location.
