Domus Suites Verona Overview
You know what struck me first about Domus Suites Verona? It’s one of those places that feels more like staying at a well-designed apartment than a typical hotel – and I mean that in the best possible way. The suites are genuinely spacious, with proper living areas where you can actually spread out and relax after spending hours wandering around those gorgeous medieval streets. Honestly, after cramming into tiny European hotel rooms for years, having real space to breathe was such a relief.
The location works really well if you want to experience Verona like more of a local – you’re not right in the tourist crush around Juliet’s balcony (thank goodness), but you can still walk to all the main sights without breaking a sweat. I particularly loved being close enough to the Adige River for those peaceful evening strolls, yet far enough from the main squares that you actually get some quiet at night. The staff really knows their stuff too – they gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps, including this little osteria tucked away in a side street that I never would have found on my own.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to practical details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (not just for show), the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, and – here’s something you don’t often find – the air conditioning is quiet enough that you can sleep with it on during those sweltering summer nights. I mean, it’s a 3-star property so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but everything feels thoughtfully done rather than just thrown together. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does what it promises well, without any pretense about being something it’s not. Perfect for couples or families who want a real base in Verona rather than just a place to crash between sightseeing marathons.

Good location and well equipped apartment
What could be improved: The mattress on both beds were uncomfortable.Sasha from New Zealand – 19 July 2024 (9/10)
Amazing location and lovely room, kitchen, beds
What could be improved: The streets are not well marks and the taxi driver dropped us in the wrong place, albeit very close by, but then pointed us towards a different street so it took us a while to find it with bags and in 30 degree heat.Mary from United States – 24 June 2024 (9/10)
The location was excellent. Room was so clean and it had everything we needed. Bed really soft too!
What could be improved: Not that much to say but maybe more than one roll of toilet paper and parking is a little far away but at least you had some.Michelle from Australia – 4 June 2024 (7/10)
Great apartment, had everything as advertised.
What could be improved: On a busy road, lots of noise.Kyle from United Kingdom – 17 April 2024 (7/10)
brilliant location, very clean
What could be improved: Air con remote didnt work, and the mini bar for the prices you’re paying to stay there you should get them things for freeLinda from United Kingdom – 16 October 2023 (8/10)
Beautifully clean. Comfortable bed. Brilliant location in a traditional building with two lovely balconies. Quiet at night considering the busy street that is extremely noisy during the day which can preclude conversation. We were in Vittorio suite although booking.com information was inaccurate with the information given about the apartment.
What could be improved: No cloths provided for drying dishes. Small amount of washing up liquid and most importantly Had to ask for extra toilet roll since just half of one was left. No basics like salt/pepper. We generally use airbnb where all this kind of stuff is pretty standard. Finally, told about having to leave €20 each tax on the last morning, would have been an idea to inform us sooner since it was so difficult changing our larger notes!Akiko from United Kingdom – 28 August 2023 (8/10)
