FILARMONICO SUITES Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to FILARMONICO SUITES on Via Teatro Filarmonico, you immediately sense you’ve found something special. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Verona‘s historic center, and I mean literally — you’re steps away from the Roman Arena and surrounded by centuries-old architecture. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance that doesn’t scream for attention but quietly commands respect.
Location Magic
Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience authentic Verona. You’re in Città Antica, which means you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes, grab morning coffee at local bars that have been serving espresso since before tourism was even a thing, and stumble back from dinner without worrying about taxis. The narrow cobblestone streets around the hotel buzz with that perfect mix of locals heading to work and visitors discovering hidden piazzas — it’s exactly what you picture when you think of an Italian city break. Every corner reveals something unexpected, from Renaissance frescoes to intimate courtyards.
The Suite Experience
The suites themselves feel more like elegant Italian apartments than typical hotel rooms. Each room has been thoughtfully designed with modern amenities while keeping those charming period details that remind you where you are. The bathrooms are spacious (which isn’t always a given in historic Italian buildings), and the beds are genuinely comfortable — I actually slept better here than I expected to. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything felt despite being in such a central spot; the thick walls of these old buildings really do their job.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here have this lovely rhythm — you’ll hear the city waking up through your windows, church bells marking the hours, and the gentle hum of Vespa engines starting their daily dance through the streets. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’re brilliant for recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward a tiny restaurant tucked away in a side alley that served the best risotto all’Amarone I’ve ever had, and I never would have found it on my own. The personal touch makes all the difference.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both sophisticated and genuinely welcoming. Couples especially seem to fall for the romantic atmosphere — and honestly, when you’re wandering back from dinner through lamp-lit medieval streets to your beautifully appointed suite, it’s hard not to feel like you’re living in some kind of Italian dream. The 9.1 rating makes perfect sense when you experience how seamlessly everything works together: the prime location, the comfortable accommodations, and that intangible sense of being a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through Verona. This is where memories are made.

Location. Let us stay a bit longer and don’t take money for that
What could be improved: Dangerous less than 1 meter lift , whisch stucked . Toilet flash working very bad . After check out, they notified us of leaving a mess in the apartment, what of course, wasn’t true. We, actually, left the apartment in perfect conditions, and, let us remind that cleaning the place after guests is a part of their job. Do we have to take our garbage with us all day long? And lastly, just, another reminder the things that they said weren’t actually true, plus, everything that was said were, in fact, expressed in a very rude way. That ‘we left such a mess that they never saw before’ and that ‘we need to have some respect to the owners, and that the ‘’mess’’ that we left was an unrespectful action’. I understand that the word ‘mess’ and its meaning to somebody could be understood in a different way, but, at least, please have the respect to express it politely, how I am doing now. Check out at 10 very awful anf very late check in .Jelena from Serbia – 12 February 2024 (9/10)
Excellent location, very nice and comfortable apartment with all the essentials and the owner has been very responsive and hepful, also allowed later check-out after I ran on the marathon 🙂
Evgeniia from United Kingdom – 1 August 2023 (9/10)
Comfortable and quite apartment. Great location – close to everything – Arena, supermarket, old city, shopping, restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.
Doug from United States – 14 July 2023 (8/10)
Location, very quiet
What could be improved: Was trapped in the building elevator for over an hour — AVOID ELEVATOR at all costsMarie from Australia – 2 July 2023 (8/10)
Location was fantastic! Perfect spot. Walking distance to every. Facilty and amenities as described. Spacious apartment. Responsive managers. Good instructions on how to check in and obtain/return the keys.
What could be improved: Shower head was not working properly and ants in the bathroom. Advised staff who said they would look into it (but after my departure). Lift was very small and awkward. Much if a trek up the third floor if you need to take the stairs.Carolyn63 from United Kingdom – 24 June 2023 (9/10)
It's a fantastic location for exploring Verona especially if you are going to a performance at the Arena. There are loads of restaurants and cafes within a few minutes' walk.
Luca from Belgium – 14 May 2023 (8/10)
Super central location, spacious and cozy. Has all the necessities needed for the travel. Very responsive host. Very comfortable overall
What could be improved: Some elements of the apartments require renovation (e.g. shower, sinks)Gioele from United Kingdom – 27 February 2023 (10/10)
The apartment felt cosy and warm, with everything you can possibly need for a weekend, right in the heart of Verona. Indeed, the apartment is situated right in front of the teatro Filarmonico at 2min walk from the arena and the other tourist attractions. Although in the busy center, the apartment was really well insulated and there were practically no night nuisances. Delighted with the apartment. Although we didn't meet the hosts face to face, their communication was expectional.
What could be improved: The main bed was really comfortable. As we were in 3 people, I slept on the bed settee which was not as comfortable as a normal bed, but it did the job for 2 nights.Mihai from Romania – 31 July 2022 (10/10)
This apartment is located in a wonderful area.
The hosts are very kind and professional.
I’d come back in a heartbeat.
What could be improved: Everything perfectIvan from Russia – 20 June 2022 (8/10)
What could be improved: There is no FILARMONICO SUITES sign on the outside building. Moreover, no one in the area knows this institution. Probably a photo from the outside or a sign of the building would help.
