I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Flats4rent, I wasn’t expecting much. It sounds pretty straightforward, maybe even a bit clinical, you know? But sometimes the places with the most basic names end up surprising you the most. This 4-star property has that solid 8.9 rating for good reason, and after spending time there, I can see why people keep coming back.

What actually struck me first was how these aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms. The spaces feel properly lived-in – I mean that in the best way possible. You get real kitchen setups where you can actually cook something more ambitious than instant noodles, and the living areas don’t feel like an afterthought. The furniture has that comfortable, slightly worn-in quality that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to impress you with marble everything and gold fixtures. Instead, you get functional comfort that actually works for longer stays or when you just want to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with a tiny hotel desk.

The staff here get it – they understand that people staying in apartment-style accommodations often want a different experience than traditional hotel guests. Check-in was refreshingly quick, no hovering or overselling amenities I don’t need. They gave me the practical info (Wi-Fi password, where to grab groceries nearby, how the heating works) without the scripted welcome speech. You know what I really appreciated? The cleaning schedule is flexible. If you’re staying a few days and don’t need daily housekeeping, they’re totally fine with that – actually seems to prefer it, which keeps costs reasonable. The kitchens come properly stocked with the basics, though I’d recommend bringing your own decent knife if you plan to do serious cooking. Sound levels are pretty manageable too, though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe request something away from the main entrance. The whole setup just feels more authentic somehow, like you’re borrowing someone’s well-maintained apartment rather than occupying a sterile hotel box. For the price point and that nearly 9.0 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises – comfortable, practical space without unnecessary frills. Perfect for travelers who want to actually settle in somewhere rather than just crash between sightseeing marathons.

  the house was very comfortable, enough for 6 people that we were.. it contained all the necessary things. the location was very convenient to go to the city center.

  The property was so spacious and perfect for our stay in Verona. It was in a great location, within walking distance to all the sights and near a lovely coffee shop. It has a kitchen, washing machine, iron and board – all the essentials. Rooms were huge and bathrooms were great!
  Hosts were very responsive and easy to contact.
  
  What could be improved: – after a long trip from Australia it was frustrating that we had to pick up the keys from a separate location (we had to drive, it wasn’t in walking distance), and then a separate location again to park the car. So three different places! They also wouldn’t tell us where the carpark was in advance so it was difficult to plan without internet connection being overseas. We did know about the three separate locations when booking though
  – a few little extra essentials would have been good (tea bags, milk etc)
  – this is the first time I’ve come across a property on booking.com where the actual property processes the payment. For some reason every credit card we used kept getting declined and the host asked me to pay externally via PayPal. I was nervous to do this and prefer just paying through booking.com

  The flat looked exactly as the photos. Very specious, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, great central location. 10 minutes from Arena di Verona, 12 minutes from panoramic views. Right next to the river 🙂 The staff is super responsive and friendly. Everything was super smooth. I highly recommend.
  
  What could be improved: I would recommend having the flat keys at a keybox closer to the flat since right now it is a 25 minutes walk. It is not that much if you are rested but if you have travelled that day, it might be exhausting.

  Amazing location only 3 minutes walk to pleasant café and another couple of minutes to main piazza and historic area with shops, market and countless excellent restaurants. 5 minutes easy walk to 2 supermarkets. 10 minutes walk to Verona arena. Spacious comfortable well equipped apartment with great airconditioning and 2 good shower rooms. Excellent wi-fi. Lift. Gated and quiet building by the River Adige. Helpful people at flats4rent. We loved it!
