Flats4Rent Casa di Tea Overview

First Impressions

Walking down the narrow cobblestone path of Vicolo San Salvatore Vecchio, you’ll find Flats4Rent Casa di Tea tucked away in what feels like a secret corner of Verona. The entrance is understated — honestly, I almost walked past it the first time — but that’s part of its charm. This four-star property sits right in the Città Antica district, and I mean literally in the heart of everything that makes Verona magical. You know what struck me most? The building itself feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood for centuries, which it probably has.

Location & Neighborhood

The location here is actually ridiculous — in the best possible way. You’re a three-minute walk from Piazza delle Erbe, maybe five minutes to Juliet’s balcony if you’re feeling touristy, and the Arena di Verona is close enough that you can hear the applause from opera performances on summer evenings. But here’s the thing couples seem to love most (and trust me, they rate this location 9.9 for good reason) — you’re surrounded by authentic trattorias and wine bars that locals actually frequent. I watched the same elderly Italian man buy his morning paper from the corner newsstand every day, and that’s when you know you’re staying somewhere real.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment itself feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed city pad than a typical hotel room. The space has character — exposed beams, original stone details, but with modern touches that actually work. The kitchen is compact but functional, which comes in handy when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the morning market in Piazza delle Erbe and make a simple breakfast. I appreciated the thoughtful details, like proper wine glasses (you’re in Veneto, after all) and a coffee machine that doesn’t require an engineering degree to operate.

Daily Life & Practical Matters

Getting around is refreshingly simple since you’re already where you want to be, but when you need to venture further, the train station is about a 15-minute walk through the historic center — which beats taking a taxi through the restricted traffic zones anyway. Parking can be tricky in this area, but honestly, once you’re here, you won’t need a car. The staff is responsive without being intrusive, and they seem to genuinely know the neighborhood well. I got better restaurant recommendations from them than from most guidebooks.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets Casa di Tea apart is how it manages to be both central and peaceful. You’re steps away from the tourist sites, but the vicolo itself stays relatively quiet — even during peak season. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you experience how seamlessly everything works together. It’s the kind of place where you can grab morning coffee from the bar downstairs, spend your day exploring Roman ruins and medieval streets, then come back to your own little sanctuary in the evening. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own space in such a storied part of the city, rather than just another hotel room.

Very central and a very quiet place . I would Highly recommend it!

What could be improved: Nothing that I did not like

  • Fitria from Singapore – 13 July 2024 (9/10)

Walking distance to the city center. Casa di Giulietta and Arena di Verona are only 10mins walking. The property is located in quiet area. Spacious enough for solo traveler. Washing machine is shared facility but while I was there, no one used it so all good. Kitchenware is available if you want to prepare breakfast in the morning and there are some tea bags as well. I love the toaster! Clean bedsheet and shower with the shower amenities. Make sure you bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush. Hairdryer and iron are also available in the room. Smooth and easy self check-in as well. If you are coming from the train station, there are plenty of buses to get to the city center, the journey will take around 13mins with buses. I walked from the property to the train station and it took 30mins if you fancy walking.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Lyn from Australia – 17 June 2024 (8/10)

Quiet spot and yet so close to shopping, The Arena, and sighting seeing spots such as the river, bridges etc.
Aircon in bedroom and living area were great and access to the washing machine downstairs was very handy.
    A very safe/secure apartment.

What could be improved: Previous guests had not returned the key to the safe, so we were unable to use it. However the security of the apt is very good so no major issue.
Owner will be fixing this issue.

Cozy apartment in the old historic center of Verona It is within walking distance of every landmark and it is on a quiet street, so you will have the chance to rest after a long day of wandering around, and you won't need to worry about transport.

  • Alan from United Kingdom – 9 May 2023 (9/10)

The property was clean, comfortable and warm (we visited in spring). Owners were super helpful and easy to contact. Property was in a quiet area but minutes from the centre. Train station is 30 mins walk away, but there is lots to see on the way there

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Alexandra from United Kingdom – 27 March 2023 (9/10)

The location is perfect ! And comfy bed, super clean and cute decor. Had everything you need for toiletries (towels, hairdryer, iron and board ect.)

What could be improved: A little bit noisy from upstairs

  • Neville from United Kingdom – 8 October 2022 (9/10)

Great location in the old town: just minutes from the arena and other points of interest. Surprisingly quiet apartment. Very comfortable bed and the apartment itself was stylishly decorated and furnished throughout.

What could be improved: Front door could be tricky to open. We didn’t come across the washing machine and small courtyard until the second day – would suggest including this info in the information pack.
