I remember pulling up to Flats4rent Residenza ai Tigli on a warm Verona evening last summer – you know, that time of year when the city buzzes with opera lovers flocking to the Arena, but honestly, this spot on Lungadige Panvinio feels like a quiet escape from all that. It’s right along the Adige River, just a stone’s throw from the historic center, so you’re basically steps away from crossing Ponte della Vittoria to hit Castelvecchio or wandering over to Piazza delle Erbe for those amazing gelato spots (try the one on Via Mazzini if you’re into pistachio – it’s unreal). I drove in, and parking was a bit of a hassle – narrow streets and all, typical for Verona’s old town – but they have a few spots reserved if you book ahead, which saved me from circling forever. Check-in was smooth, sort of low-key; the staff handed over keys with a quick chat about the best nearby osteria for spritz, and I felt like I was settling into a friend’s apartment rather than some sterile hotel lobby.

What really won me over were the rooms – well, apartments, actually, since it’s more like a residenza with full kitchens and living spaces. Mine had this cozy balcony overlooking the river, where I’d sip coffee in the morning listening to the gentle lap of water and the distant hum of scooters zipping by. The decor’s modern but nods to Verona’s vibe, with exposed brick walls that feel authentically Italian, not some fake tourist trap. Beds are comfy, linens crisp (though the pillows were a tad firm for my taste – I mean, bring your own if you’re picky), and the bathroom had that rainfall shower that makes you linger. It’s rated 4 stars, and yeah, it earns it with little touches like fresh fruit in the kitchenette upon arrival and reliable Wi-Fi that didn’t glitch during my late-night work calls. Noise-wise, it’s peaceful at night despite being central – no blaring horns, just the occasional church bell from nearby San Zeno, which adds charm without waking you at dawn. Oh, and if you’re traveling in winter, pack layers; the heating works fine, but those stone floors can get chilly underfoot.

All in all, if you’re after a spot that feels lived-in and lets you dive into Verona without the hassle of constant commuting – think strolling to Juliet’s balcony in under 10 minutes or catching a sunset walk along the lungadige – this is it. It’s not flawless; the elevator’s a bit slow during peak check-out times, and breakfast isn’t included (but grab pastries from the bakery on Via Roma instead – way better). Still, for couples or small families wanting that authentic Italian stay, I’d book it again in a heartbeat. Verona’s magic is in its details, and Residenza ai Tigli puts you right in the middle of them without overwhelming you.

  The location of the apartment is fantastic, you are really in the heart of Verona. The apartment itself was clean and beautiful with a great view of the Quays and hillside. Will definetly recommend for a group of friends who want to visit Verona.

  Central location in Centro Storico area. 5 min walk to a supermarket and 5 min walk to all our evening needs for wine or dine. Less than 10 min to the Arena which was great as we attended La Traviata one night. Less than 15 mins to Ponte Pietro and more great places to visit. The property itself had a really well equipped kitchen and spacious living space, 3 air conditioned bedrooms and a large bathroom with separate shower and bath/jacuzzi. There was a 2nd smaller shower/toilet off the laundry room.
  
  What could be improved: Some if the sockets were not compatible with our travel adapters but there were other adapters left for our use that sorted that issue for us.

  Location was great right on the river, 30minutes walk to train station, 5 minutes walk to Arena.
  Very retro feel to the apartment.
  Clean and great size for a family of 5.
  All the utensils were there if you want to cook.
  Nice and quiet.
  Area around outside felt very safe.
  
  What could be improved: Tiles missing in shower and some lights and lamps not working.

  What could be improved: It will be better with a maintenance. Paint and bathroom maintenance will be good for the house. If the covers of the coaches and carpets of the dressing room will change it will be a great property.
