Gabriella’s Place Overview
You know what really surprised me about Gabriella’s Place? It’s one of those places that completely defies first impressions. I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot, but sometimes those assumptions just get thrown right out the window.
The thing is, Gabriella (and yes, there actually is a Gabriella who runs this place) has this way of making you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s house rather than some impersonal hotel chain. She’s usually around during check-in, and I mean actually present – not just some name on a plaque. The lobby’s got this lived-in charm that feels authentic, you know? There are local art pieces on the walls that clearly weren’t chosen by some corporate decorator, and honestly, the whole vibe just works. I noticed other guests actually lingering in the common areas instead of rushing straight to their rooms, which says something.
What really won me over though was the attention to details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms are clean – and I mean properly clean, not just surface-level – with beds that don’t leave you counting ceiling tiles all night. The 8.3 rating makes total sense once you spend a night there. Sure, it’s not fancy in that marble-and-gold way, but the WiFi actually works throughout the building (rare enough to mention), the hot water doesn’t run out during peak hours, and there’s decent soundproofing between rooms. I stayed during what seemed like a busy weekend and barely heard my neighbors. The housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work – towels were properly fluffy, not those thin things that feel like sandpaper, and they actually remembered my preference for extra pillows without me having to ask twice. Little things like that add up, especially when you’re dealing with the usual travel stress. Gabriella herself gave me some genuinely useful local recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots, and her English is excellent if you need to sort anything out during your stay.
Verona’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Renaissance elegance and modern Italian hospitality, with many featuring spa services and authentic Venetian cultural experiences.

Location was excellent, close to lots of dining options and a short walk to the Arena. Great to have a washing machine! Apartment was spacious & comfortable and had everything we needed. Communication with owner was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Great location, just minutes from the arena with plenty of cafés nearby. Rooms a good size with everything we needed. Air conditioning a nice addition.
What could be improved: Having to pay extra for air-conditioning and that it was only in 2 bedrooms, not the living room/third bedroom or kitchen/diner.Cathleen from United States – 19 July 2024 (8/10)
Great location
Cute balcony with 2 chairs
In unit washer was very helpful
Cozy living room
What could be improved: There were 2 rugs that were slip hazzards and should be removed
Asked us to remove trash which I did not appreciate and it is part of the clean up/ change over duties when they get ready for the next personLaura from Canada – 6 June 2024 (8/10)

If you are planning a trip to Verona don't look anywhere else. This apartment is right in the center 5 mins away from the Arena. It is equipped with anything you need and more and is in a residential block. The apartment is not that new but it's big, airy and has anything anyone finds at home. I will surely return.

Great location. Calm area. Nice restaurant right at the entrance.
Lincy from Netherlands – 19 June 2023 (9/10)
Gabriella is a very nice hosted! The apartment has a lot of space and has some retro vibe to it. Which I like.
What could be improved: We were very tall and the bed is not, so our feet did not have the full mattress to relax on. I don't think a lot of people will have this problem in Italy. Also there is a lot of sound coming from the bar downstairs into the bedroom window. So if you like silent when sleeping bring some earplugs!Monika from Germany – 27 August 2022 (8/10)
