It’s one of those places that completely defies its modest 3-star rating – honestly, I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier hotels that didn’t come close to this level of care and attention. The moment you walk through the entrance, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually gives a damn about the guest experience here, which sounds simple but is surprisingly rare these days.

What really gets me is how they’ve managed to create this perfect balance between cozy and professional. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling without being stuffy – think comfortable armchairs you’d actually want to sit in, not those weird modern pieces that look great in photos but torture your back. The staff genuinely remembers your name after the first day (not just because they’re reading your keycard), and they seem to know instinctively when you need help versus when you just want to be left alone. I mean, that’s hospitality gold right there.

The rooms themselves are thoughtfully designed in a way that makes you realize how much bad hotel design you’ve just accepted over the years. Everything’s where you’d naturally reach for it, there’s actually enough outlets near the bed, and – this might sound weird – but the lighting actually works for both reading and getting ready. The beds are that perfect firmness where you sleep deeply but don’t wake up feeling like you’ve been wrestling all night. Plus, they’ve got this knack for temperature control that keeps things comfortable without that aggressive air conditioning that makes you feel like you’re camping in a wind tunnel. What really sealed the deal for me was the breakfast setup – not some sad continental spread, but actual variety that changes daily, and the coffee doesn’t taste like it was made in 1987. The 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you experience how they handle the little things that other places overlook. It’s the kind of spot where you find yourself extending your stay if you can swing it, not because there’s tons to do on-site, but because it just feels right as a home base. Honestly, Green Woods has spoiled me for other places in this price range – they’ve set the bar pretty high for what hospitality should actually feel like.

  The apartment is large and spacious, equipped with everything you need. The children had their own room. The bathroom with sanitary facilities is renovated and modern. We had our car parked under a carport, just a few meters from our entrance. The house is set back from the road, and the apartment is on the other side, facing a small forest, which allows for complete silence.

  We couldn't have chosen better. Amazing lady owner who gave us lots of recommendations. The apartment was simply great. Perfectly furnished, cozy, very clean and above all calm and quiet. The hot tub outside was fantastic after a day exploring Verona. Parking in the garden – you will appreciate it if you come by car, because you have no chance to park in the city. The bus stop to the center is 100m from the accommodation and you are there in 15 minutes. It's really rare to find such perfect accommodation.

  Green Woods has everything and more that you're expecting! The host is great, very friendly and helpful. The house is fully equipped and it has a great green area outside. We only stayed for one night, but definitely want to come back for a longer period.

  Very nice and comfortable apartment. Nice terrace with a view to the woods. Very spacious kitchen with all that you need. Beautiful new bathroom.

  I would definitely recommend it if you want to explore Verona without the car, the bus to the city centre is just in front of the house.
