Hotel Aurora Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Aurora? I walked in expecting your typical mid-range place – decent but forgettable – and honestly, it’s one of those spots that just gets things right in ways that actually matter when you’re traveling.
The lobby has this warm, almost residential feel that immediately puts you at ease. I mean, sure, it’s not dripping with marble or anything fancy like that, but there’s something genuine about the place. The staff behind the front desk actually seemed to care about helping rather than just processing you through. My room was ready early (always a good sign), and when I mentioned I was hoping for something quiet, they moved me without any fuss to a corner spot that barely caught any street noise. The room itself was spotless – and I’m talking about the kind of clean where you can tell housekeeping takes pride in their work, not just going through the motions. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, firm but not hard, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which honestly can make or break a stay for me.
What really impressed me was how they handle the little things that other places often mess up. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (I tested it in the lobby, restaurant, and my room on the third floor). There’s always hot coffee available in the morning, and it’s decent coffee, not that burnt stuff you sometimes get. The breakfast spread isn’t elaborate, but everything they do have is fresh and well-prepared. I also noticed they keep the common areas genuinely comfortable – soft lighting in the evenings, temperature that doesn’t require you to wear a jacket indoors. The whole place runs smoothly without feeling overly managed, if that makes sense. Staff members remember your name after the first day, which is rare these days. I stayed for four nights and never once felt like I was bothering anyone when I had questions or small requests. That 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Great location! In the center of old town. The staff were great, breakfast was great, very clean. The room and bathroom are on the small side but it was fine for us since we weren’t there to lounge in the room.
What could be improved: In our opinion, the bed was too firm.Kerim from South Africa – 3 January 2025 (9/10)

The location was superb. Right by the main center of the old city. Our room was spectacular. We had a balcony overlooking the Piazza Erbe.
Breakfast was very good and with good selection.

Everything. Amazing staff, perfect location

Bella camera spaziosa e servizi moderni
What could be improved: Beings in a ZTL (limited traffic zone or pedenstrian area) make sure you know how to navigate with pedestrians. It feels like you are braking the law but you are not. Coming in from the west side is likely easier than coming in from the east side of the plaza.
