The free parking right there at the hotel — and if you’ve ever tried to park in Verona, you’ll understand why that’s basically gold. The building itself has this understated Italian elegance that grows on you.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about Montorio — it’s not right in the tourist chaos, but it’s perfectly positioned for exploring Verona without the crowds outside your door. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 8.2 out of 10, and after staying here, I get why. You’re close enough to reach the historic center easily, but far enough out that you actually feel like you’re experiencing a real Italian neighborhood. The local buses run regularly, and honestly, sometimes I just enjoyed the walk into town through the quieter residential streets.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what I expected from a well-run three-star hotel — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-speak comfortable), and the bathroom was modern enough with good water pressure. What I appreciated most was how quiet it gets at night — you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around outside at 2 AM like you would closer to the arena.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast here actually surprised me in the best way. They do this continental-Italian buffet thing that hits all the right notes — proper Italian coffee, fresh pastries, and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying multiple nights. I’m not talking about some sad continental spread with stale croissants. The Italian touches really make it feel authentic, and the restaurant area has this warm, family-run feeling even though it’s clearly a proper hotel operation.

Look, Hotel Brandoli isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get solid value, genuine Italian hospitality, and a location that lets you experience Verona like a local while still being a tourist. The staff clearly takes pride in the place — you can see it in the small details and how they interact with guests. For couples especially, there’s something really appealing about having this peaceful base where you can retreat after a day of sightseeing, knowing your car is safely parked and you’re not paying tourist-trap prices for the privilege.

  I loved the location and the free parking outside the hotel. The hotel is located just outside the city and a 10 minute drive takes you downtown.
  Breakfast offer was very good.
  
  What could be improved: Seems like there is a communication gap between Booking and the Hotel. The reception staff seemed to be unhappy there is 4 of us ( couple and kids age 2 & 3) as they were stating it is a 3-person room, That really does not make any sense, I will not book an additional room for a 2 yr old kid that sleeps between the parents.
