I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Hotel Firenze, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a 4-star place in this part of town. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come when you’re not trying too hard to impress anyone, and that’s exactly what this hotel gets right.

The moment I stepped into the lobby, there was this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. Not in that over-the-top, trying-too-hard way, but more like… well, like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests (which honestly isn’t always a given), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no weird hidden fees popping up at the last minute. The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between comfortable and elegant without feeling stuffy. I mean, you’ve got proper lighting for actually reading, outlets where you need them, and – this might sound silly but it matters – hangers that aren’t permanently attached to the closet rod. The beds are legitimately comfortable too, not just hotel-comfortable where you’re grateful it’s not terrible.

What really won me over though was how the place feels during different parts of the day. Mornings are peaceful and efficient, afternoons have this nice quiet energy, and evenings… there’s just something welcoming about coming back after a long day of exploring Florence. The location works really well if you want to be close enough to the main attractions without being right in the thick of tourist chaos – you can actually get some sleep at night, which I’ve learned not to take for granted. The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it consistently delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. You’ll find yourself recommending it to friends later, which is honestly the best test of any hotel.

  Room was very good , right size location good not far from railway station
  
  What could be improved: Nothing I can think of,had an apartment,had a slight problem opening main outside door but that was soon sorted.

  Beautiful hotel. Easy 10 min walk to the train station and old downtown Verona 10 minute walk as well. Breakfast was well stocked and a nice variety.
  
  What could be improved: The lights in the room were by remote control which was confusing.

  Very conveniently situated for parking and access to the sights.
  A very nice touch is having hooks where winter coats can be hung – so few hotels provide anywhere to hang your (possibly wet) jacket when you come in.

  Room size is big and very clean. The breakfast is ok and the location is perfect. The staff are very polite and helpful. The hotel is located at walking distance to the train station and Verona Arena. There are many small restaurants nearby.
