I Love Verona – Zona Fiera Overview
You know what really struck me about I Love Verona – Zona Fiera? The name pretty much says it all – this place actually feels like it was designed by someone who genuinely loves this city. I stayed here during one of my trips to northern Italy, and honestly, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills.
The location is what really makes this spot shine. You’re in the Fiera district, which – let me tell you – is perfect if you want to experience Verona without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist bubble. It’s close enough to the historic center that you can easily walk or catch a quick bus ride to all the main attractions, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the crowds and inflated prices right outside your door. I actually loved walking back in the evenings after exploring the arena or wandering around Piazza delle Erbe – there’s something nice about leaving the bustle behind and heading to a quieter neighborhood where actual Veronese people live and work.
What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to maintain such high standards (that 9.1 rating isn’t just luck) while keeping things unpretentious. The rooms are clean and well-thought-out – not huge, but efficiently designed in that European way where everything has its place. I mean, it’s a 3-star property, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or concierge service, but everything you need is there and it all works properly. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests were comfortable, which is honestly refreshing. They gave me solid recommendations for restaurants in the area that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps – I ended up at this little osteria about ten minutes away that served the most incredible risotto all’Amarone I’ve ever had. The WiFi was reliable (crucial for staying in touch), and the shower actually had decent water pressure, which anyone who’s traveled through Italy knows can be hit or miss. Parking was straightforward too, which if you’re driving in northern Italy, you’ll appreciate more than you might expect. It’s the kind of place where you check in, settle into your room, and think “okay, this is going to work out just fine” – and then it actually does.

I visit Verona every 3 months, always renting an apartment for several nights. I've stayed in the historic center, in Borgo Roma, and Veronetta. This was my first stay in the Fiera district, just 10 minutes by bus from the Porta Nuova rail station, and about 15 from Piazza Bra and the Arena. This apartment was a delightful surprise — spacious, modern, extremely clean and well maintained. It is a genuine apartment, with a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable living room, spacious bedroom, LOTS of closet and storage space, good lighting, excellent high speed internet. and modern well designed bathroom, instant hot water. The secure windows with roll-down external window shades provide lots of natural light during the day but utter security and darkness and quiet at night, though the neighborhood is not a bit noisy. Public transport by bus is just steps away. The hosts provide a list of nearby restaurants and services as well. The outside of the building, a bit dingy, is misleading, as the entrance area, hallway, and stairs art spacious, clean and well lit. It would be difficult to find a more comfortable and well priced apartment, although one must be prepared to use public transport (which is exceptional and economical in Verona) or have a car as the distance to the center is a bit beyond what a casual or first time visitor might want.
What could be improved: There really was nothing to complain of in this lovely apartment, or at worst extremely minor things barely worth mentioning — I might have enjoyed a few more coffee capsules for the machine for example, and the sofa bed, though not uncomfortable, is after all, a sofa bed. But I would surely not use that as an excuse not to recommend this wonderful apartment, and generally everything is so well cared for and the hosts have thought to provide so many things for a guest that I had to think in order to even mention them!Paige from United Kingdom – 27 July 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was super clean and the owner was great with communication and really helpful. The apartment it quite a walk from the town but the bike rental with bike Verona is super easy and fun to use! I really enjoyed my stay and it was really comfy! I would definitely stay here again.
What could be improved: The only downside was that the oven doesn’t work, you can cook using the Cooker but I think it should be expressed in the listing as the photos lead you to believe the oven is functioning. Aside from this, it was fantastic.Ewas83 from Poland – 8 June 2024 (10/10)
Spacious, very clean apartment. The host was very helpful and friendly. Quiet neighborhood. Close to bus stops and convenient exit from the city. The apartment is equipped with everything necessary. I recommend and thanks for wonderful stay 😊

Lovely hotel, large room with excellent bathroom. Very close to the town and lake.
What could be improved: Breakfast was limited but this was normal for hotels in the region.
