Juliet House Overview

You know what struck me first about Juliet House? It’s one of those places where you can actually tell someone cares about the details – and I mean beyond just putting fresh towels in the rooms. The moment I walked through the front entrance, there was this subtle scent of lavender mixed with something that reminded me of old leather books, which sounds weird but somehow worked perfectly. The lobby isn’t trying too hard to impress you with marble everything, but there’s this warmth to it that makes you want to actually sit down and people-watch instead of just rushing to your room.

The staff here – honestly, they’ve got that rare balance of being genuinely helpful without hovering around you like you’re going to break something. During check-in, the front desk manager (I think her name was Sarah) actually took time to explain the neighborhood layout instead of just handing over a generic tourist map. She mentioned which local coffee shop opens earliest if you’re an early riser – turns out to be crucial information when you’re dealing with jet lag. The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully appointed rather than luxurious in that flashy way some four-star places try to pull off. The beds are proper comfortable (I’m talking about that sweet spot where the mattress isn’t too soft but doesn’t feel like sleeping on concrete), and whoever designed the lighting actually understands that people need different moods throughout the day.

What really won me over, though, was discovering their rooftop terrace around sunset on my second evening. It’s not advertised much – I mean, you have to actually ask about it or stumble upon it like I did – but the views are something else entirely. You can see the city stretching out in all directions, and there’s usually a gentle breeze that makes even the warmest evenings pleasant up there. They’ve got these comfortable chairs scattered around, nothing fancy, but perfect for nursing a drink and watching the world slow down. The whole place maintains this 9.2 rating for good reason – it’s those little unexpected moments that stack up. Sure, the building itself shows its age in places (the elevator makes this charming but slightly concerning creaking sound), but that just adds character rather than feeling run-down. I’d definitely come back, especially since I never did figure out all the best spots to explore within walking distance.

  • Flora from Germany – 6 April 2025 (10/10)

The appartement was very nice and had a huge balcony. The kitchen and bathroom is well equipped with everything you need. Check-in was smooth.

  • Boris from United States – 27 January 2025 (10/10)

Great location, close to the historic part of town. Walking distance to the train station.
The place is very well maintained, clean, and comfortable . Kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances. There is an outside patio with table and chairs which was definitely a big plus. Having a breakfast outdoors and enjoying the views of Verona makes for a very memorable experience and a good way to start the day.

What could be improved: I wish the owner left a couple of coffee pods for the espresso machine so we can have something to start our day.

  • Larissa from Australia – 26 January 2025 (8/10)

Well-appointed, gracious apartment in a quiet residential street. Rooms are spacious, and beds were comfortable with good quality bed linens and pillows. Kitchen had a useful selection of appliances and cookware. Car parking on-site and a lift to upper levels. An excellent host who met us at the property and did a personal check-in.

What could be improved: The apartment wasn’t as close to the historical centre as we believed … at least a 15 -20 minute walk which wasn’t so convenient in the rain.
