Juliet’s Apartment Verona Overview

You know what really surprised me about Juliet’s Apartment Verona? It’s not just another tourist trap trading on Shakespeare’s name – this place actually has character. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical at first because, well, every corner of Verona seems to milk the Romeo and Juliet thing, but the moment I walked into this 3-star gem, I could tell someone actually cared about creating a real experience here.

The apartment feels authentically Italian in that slightly worn-around-the-edges way that’s actually charming rather than shabby. Think exposed beams, terracotta floors that have seen decades of life, and windows that frame the city like postcards – but not in a staged way, more like happy accidents. The furniture is this perfect mix of antique pieces and modern comfort, and honestly, the bed was way better than I expected from a mid-range place. What really got me though was the attention to small details: fresh herbs growing on the windowsill, local ceramics instead of generic hotel dishes, and – this might sound silly – but the shower pressure was fantastic, which anyone who’s stayed in historic European buildings will appreciate.

The location puts you right in the thick of things without the chaos of being directly on Piazza delle Erbe. You can actually walk to Juliet’s balcony in about five minutes (though I’d recommend going early morning to avoid the crowds), and the Saturday market at Piazza delle Erbe becomes your neighborhood backdrop rather than a tourist obligation. I loved that I could grab fresh bread from the bakery around the corner and actually feel like I was living in Verona for a few days, not just passing through. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it nails everything it sets out to do. The host clearly knows the city inside out and gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on, including this tiny osteria tucked away near Sant’Anastasia that I never would have found on my own. Sure, you might hear some street noise in the evenings when the locals are out for their passeggiata, but that’s part of the charm, and it quiets down by 11 or so. If you want sterile hotel efficiency, this isn’t your place, but if you want to actually experience Verona the way it’s meant to be experienced – with a glass of Amarone on a centuries-old balcony, watching the city come alive below you – then this apartment gets it exactly right.

Reviews of Juliet’s Apartment Verona

  • Colin from United Kingdom – 3 April 2025 (9/10)

The location, the cleanliness, the amazing view.

What could be improved: Nothing to report.

  • Manuel from United States – 2 December 2024 (10/10)

Location, walking distance to all major attractions but quite, host was extremely helpful and the coffee pods left for us were a lifesaver. Beautiful view of the city from balcony.

  • Jo from United Kingdom – 5 October 2024 (10/10)

Really close to the town centre – literally 3 minutes walk to the city walls and with coffee shops and restaurants around the flat which is handy. The best thing about the flat is that it is 6 floors up facing the Old Town centre so the view is great , with no buildings in the way to spoil the view but away from any road or traffic noise which is amazing . There are the European metal shutters on the windows so you can close the shutters but leave the windows open at night or put the air on on . It definitely has a ‘loo with a view ‘ right over the castellations in the distance . The flat is immaculate , well furnished and spacious . The kitchen is well equipped and the shower is great . The TV has various apps on it so we watched UK TV programmes on YouTube which was great .
Max the host was very helpful when we had a question too. In a great spot away from any noise , just a few minutes from town and traffic and beautifully laid-out . This is in a residential block with a lift and there is no noise from any other flats – this is on a corner position with a small balcony with lovely views . Would definitely come back! Verona has a lot to offer and we need to come back again .

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Anne from United Kingdom – 17 July 2024 (9/10)

Spacious shower that didn't leak; generous provision of paper kitchen towels, olive oil, salt, coffee pods, tea bags etc; views over the city; quiet residential area with easy walk to city centre; helpful host eg restaurant recommendation and transport arrangements

What could be improved: Needed a sharp knife for chopping veg and cutting bread – also a better board for the same activities, but actually very little to criticise

  • Kc2016 from Malta – 1 July 2024 (9/10)

The property is in a quiet location just 10mins walk away from Piazza Bra (next to Verona Arena). The apartment layout is well organised and we had access to everything we needed. The host was kind enough to provide a brand new lovely cot for our one year old child who loved it so much! The view is also spectacular especially during sunrise and sunset.

What could be improved: Although the property was definitely cleaned, some parts were neglected such as the coffee machine and side of the sofa. To be honest, I am a bit of a clean freak so it probably was good for most people's standards 🙂

  • Seyedeh from Belgium – 16 May 2024 (10/10)

Very clean, big, bright, fancy. Nice view!

  • Zhanna from Kazakhstan – 2 May 2024 (10/10)

It is clean, everything is new, and comfortable

  • Jasmina from Serbia – 1 May 2024 (10/10)

Nice, renovated and very clean apartment, located in a good location, 10 minutes walk from historical sights. It is located in a building with an elevator which is a great advantage.
The host Max allowed us to check in early, which meant a lot to us.

What could be improved: We should get more cutlery, cups and glasses.
