La Piu’ Bella Verona Overview

Honestly, when I first walked into La Piu’ Bella Verona, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but you know what? Sometimes these smaller hotels surprise you in the best way. The name literally means “The Most Beautiful Verona,” which sounds a bit dramatic until you actually stay there and realize they’re not really overselling it.

What struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to care about making your stay memorable. I mean, you’re not getting luxury amenities here, but there’s something refreshingly authentic about the whole experience. The rooms have this lived-in charm – not shabby, just real, if that makes sense. My room had these gorgeous wooden shutters that I’d open every morning, and honestly, waking up in Verona never gets old, even if you’re not staying in some fancy palazzo. The beds are actually comfortable (which isn’t always a given at this price point), and the bathrooms are clean and functional, though don’t expect a spa experience.

The location is where this place really shines, though they don’t make a huge deal about it. You’re close enough to walk to the major sites without being right in the tourist chaos – I could slip out for an early morning espresso before the crowds hit the piazzas. Parking can be tricky in this part of the city (well, parking’s tricky everywhere in Verona, let’s be honest), but the front desk was super helpful with suggestions. One evening I got back pretty late after dinner and drinks, and the night clerk actually gave me some great recommendations for breakfast spots that locals frequent. Those little touches matter when you’re trying to experience a place beyond the guidebook highlights. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of residential streets and local cafés, so you get glimpses of actual Italian life between your sightseeing. Sure, it’s not the fanciest hotel you’ll find, and the décor is more functional than Instagram-worthy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole place that made my stay feel less like checking into a hotel and more like having a comfortable base to explore from.

Reviews of La Piu’ Bella Verona

  • Margaret from Australia – 2 April 2025 (9/10)

I loved it! The most comfy bed and pillows I have ever slept in. Honestly. Great location, cool little cocktail bar downstairs. Sweet little balcony with views to Ponte Pietra. It was lovely. Fantastic communication with the host Silvia.

What could be improved: Maybe one or two coffee pods to go with the Nespresso machine would have been good… most people dont travel with coffee pods in their bags. But this is a minor thing.

  • Yuliia from Poland – 5 March 2025 (9/10)

    Everything was ok, no concerns!

What could be improved: There is a karaoke bar under the apartment, it can be loud till around 11 pm. As well there is a road and tower with planned bell tower ringing in the morning, so it can be a bit loud. For us it was ok!

  • Jolanta from Lithuania – 10 January 2025 (8/10)

The apartment itself was fantastic—very cozy, well-equipped, and with a beautiful view. Its location close to the center was a huge plus, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

What could be improved: However, our experience with the host was disappointing. The city tax listed on Booking.com was one price, but the host demanded a higher amount upon arrival. When I refused to pay more than what was stated in the booking, I received multiple unpleasant notifications from the host, which cast a shadow over the entire experience.
It's unfortunate that such a small issue over a few euros ruined the memory of an otherwise wonderful apartment.

  • Loredana from Romania – 3 January 2025 (9/10)

Lovely place near the river, great view. There is everything you need in the apartment and plenty of places to see at a short walking distance. Good communication with the host.

  • Egle from United Kingdom – 24 November 2024 (9/10)

Great location, beautiful view from the balcony, stylish apartment. Not far away there is a free parking (Don Mazza)

  • Daria from Romania – 20 November 2024 (9/10)

Very nice apartament, clean and cosy. I really recommend 🙂

  • Μαρια from Greece – 31 October 2024 (9/10)

    Very nice location.
Very spacious and clean apartment with beautiful views.

What could be improved: Slow wifi
    Noisy area

  • Ioannis from Greece – 29 October 2024 (9/10)

The apartment (#3, Attic) was comfortable, clean and well-maintained, with cozy ambiance and convenient location: Most of Verona's main attractions are within a short and pleasant walking distance. The host was also very responsive and helpful. And the price is absolutely right!

What could be improved: A minor drawback to consider is the lack of an elevator, which might be a challenge for those with heavy luggage or mobility issues. Also, the soundproofing could be a bit of an issue due to a lively bar located downstairs (particularly on Friday and Saturday nights). However, the bar itself is quite cool and worth checking out for a drink.

  • Torsten from Germany – 11 October 2024 (9/10)

    Near city centre.

What could be improved: On the mainstreet with many traffic.

  • Bruce from Canada – 22 September 2023 (9/10)

Great location with beautiful view. Helpful host.
