Lara’s House Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Lara’s House – honestly, the name made it sound like I’d be crashing at someone’s relative’s place. But this little 3-star gem actually surprised me in all the right ways. There’s something genuinely welcoming about the place that you don’t always find, even at fancier hotels. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward (none of that overly formal front desk theater), and the staff seemed like they actually wanted to help rather than just going through the motions.
What really won me over was how the place manages to feel both homey and professional at the same time. The rooms aren’t huge – I mean, let’s be realistic about 3-star expectations – but they’re thoughtfully laid out with those little touches that show someone actually cares. The bedding was surprisingly comfortable, and I’m someone who usually tosses and turns in hotel beds. The bathroom had decent water pressure too, which honestly matters more than people admit. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the noise levels were totally manageable – you could hear some activity in the hallways during the day, but it died down completely by evening.
Here’s the thing that really impressed me: the 8.8 rating this place has earned feels completely legitimate. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be. The common areas have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to actually hang out there rather than just rush through to your room. I ended up chatting with other guests a couple times, which rarely happens at bigger chain hotels where everyone’s just passing through. The breakfast setup was simple but solid – fresh coffee that didn’t taste like it had been sitting around for hours, and they actually restocked things when they ran out instead of just letting empty trays sit there. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the headache of circling blocks looking for street spots. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like staying with a friend who happens to run a really well-organized house rather than a sterile hotel experience, Lara’s House hits that sweet spot perfectly.

It was so clean and perfect for a family. There are three rooms and 6-7 persons can sleep there. They have a big kitchen with everything in it.
U can take the bus to go to the city center. Love the house and the location. Lara herself is sooo kind and friendly. I would definitely book it again if I’m in Verona.Vitaliy from Germany – 19 August 2024 (9/10)
Everything was OK.
What could be improved: Too hot and too short 🙂Barbosa from France – 29 April 2024 (9/10)
