Madonna Montecchi Luxury Suite in Verona Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Madonna Montecchi Luxury Suite in Verona? It’s how they managed to create this incredibly intimate experience that feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place than a typical hotel. I mean, when you see that 9.9 rating, you sort of expect it to be inflated – but honestly, this place actually lives up to the hype.
The suite itself is just stunning in that understated Italian way. The rooms have this perfect balance of historical character and modern comfort, with those gorgeous exposed wooden beams overhead and marble accents that catch the morning light beautifully. What really impressed me was the attention to detail – fresh flowers changed daily, linens that smell like they were dried in Mediterranean sunshine, and a coffee machine that actually makes decent espresso (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always guaranteed even in Italy). The bathroom is particularly luxurious, with this amazing rainfall shower and heated floors that I definitely didn’t want to leave on chilly October mornings.
But here’s the thing that really sets this place apart – the location puts you right in the heart of Verona without the tourist chaos. You’re close enough to walk to Juliet’s balcony and the Arena in about ten minutes, but tucked away on a quieter street where you can actually hear yourself think. I loved how you could grab morning pastries from the little bakery just around the corner, then spend your evening at one of those family-run osterias nearby without fighting through crowds of tour groups. The staff – and I’m talking about maybe three people who clearly take personal pride in this place – gave me restaurant recommendations that were absolutely spot-on, including this tiny wine bar that doesn’t even have a sign but serves the most incredible Amarone. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of the city (honestly, just take the train if you can), but they helped coordinate everything smoothly. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the walls are a bit thin, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly animated conversation – though in my experience, most guests here are pretty respectful. At this price point and with this level of service, it’s definitely worth booking well in advance, especially during opera season when Verona gets absolutely packed.

Reviews of Madonna Montecchi Luxury Suite in Verona
Jones from United Kingdom – 3 October 2024 (10/10)
This property is by far the best we have stayed in, anywhere. Beautifully appointed with quality fixtures and fittings, the place was spotlessly clean and catered for all our needs including umbrellas which saved us on the second evening in a thunderstorm. The host was very responsive and comms were excellent. We could not recommend this place more. Superb!

Situated in a quiet area of the city, the apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated and provided us with much more than the bare essentials.

This beautiful apartment defines the word 'Perfection'. Despite the incredible reviews already posted we were still amazed at how elegant, scrupulously clean and immaculate this delightful place was. Situation could not be better as so close to the main attractions yet at the same time away from the hustle and bustle and enjoying a nice quiet ambience. Plus the train station an easy pleasant walk. Although the apartment itself could not be bettered, the biggest praise needs to go to Manuela who made our week's stay as enjoyable, care-free & seamless as possible, responding to any query no matter how big or small with absolute charm and courtesy. A Big THANK YOU for a most wonderful time in the beautiful city of Verona!

This was one the finest properties I have ever rented. Modern, roomy, every convenience and a balcony. The bed was large and very comfortable. I cannot fault the apartment.
The apartment was spotless.
Manuela was a terrific host. Clear instructions and great support for questions. Detailed handbook was most helpful.
Totally would recommend and stay again.

Very fresh, newly updated apartment in a very convenient location. We walked everywhere. We rented a car for the last day (to go to lake Garda) and were able to park it in front of the building, for 1 euro an hour. The apartment is sparkling clean. Very attentive and responsive host, who patiently answered all my questions and gave me good advice on parking. Thanks, Manuela.
