Magnolia Home – Piazza delle Erbe Overview

First Impressions

Walking down Vicoletto Cieco Pozzo San Marco feels like stepping into a hidden corner of medieval Verona — and honestly, that’s exactly what you’re doing. Magnolia Home – Piazza delle Erbe sits tucked away on this tiny cobblestone street, just steps from the famous piazza but somehow worlds apart from the tourist chaos. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly Italian way, where you know something special is waiting behind an unassuming door.

Location Magic

I mean, you really can’t get more central than this without actually sleeping in Piazza delle Erbe itself. This four-star property earned its 9.9 location score for good reason — you’re literally in the heart of Verona’s historic center. The morning market vendors are setting up their stalls before you’ve even had your coffee, and the evening aperitivo crowd gathers just outside your window. What I love is that couples consistently rate this spot a perfect 10, and after spending time here, I get why. There’s something incredibly romantic about having the city’s most beautiful square as your front yard.

The Space Itself

The room design strikes this perfect balance between historic charm and modern comfort that so many places try for but rarely nail. You’ll find original architectural details — think exposed beams and stone accents — paired with contemporary furnishings that actually make sense. The windows open onto either the piazza or the quiet courtyard, and honestly, both views have their charm depending on whether you want the energy of the square or a peaceful retreat. Each detail has been thoughtfully curated to enhance your stay.

Living Like a Local

What really sets this place apart is how it makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully appointed home rather than a hotel. The staff knows the neighborhood intimately — they’ll point you toward the best osteria that tourists haven’t discovered yet, or tell you exactly when to visit Juliet’s balcony to avoid the crowds. You can grab fresh produce from the market downstairs and actually feel like you’re living in Verona, not just visiting it. This immersive experience transforms your entire perspective on the city.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.4 rating isn’t just about the location, though that’s certainly a huge part of it. It’s about waking up in the actual heart of one of Italy’s most romantic cities and having everything — from Romeo’s house to the Arena — within a five-minute walk. The combination of authentic atmosphere, thoughtful design, and that unbeatable position right on Piazza delle Erbe creates something pretty special. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels like a well-kept secret, even though you’re right in the center of everything. Guests consistently praise the balance between accessibility and intimacy that defines this property.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

Reviews of Magnolia Home – Piazza delle Erbe

  • Donatella from Italy – 7 April 2025 (10/10)

la casa è molto bella, la posizione anche in pieno centro e in una zona piena di locali. Ci ritorneremo!

  • Nickycd from United Kingdom – 17 May 2024 (10/10)

Fantastic location just off one of the main squares and yet very quiet and secluded. The accommodation was very good with large, airy rooms,.good kitchen.equipment , comfortable beds. The host was easy to contact and very helpful with suggestions restaurants etc

What could be improved: There was nothing. They have an entry system to the flat that requires Internet access . I was dubious but it worked without any problem.

  • Lars from Germany – 17 April 2024 (10/10)

Tolle Lage um die Altstadt zu erkunden

  • Topper5743 from United Kingdom – 27 October 2023 (10/10)

Electronic keys were very good. Great location very close to the Piazza but down a quiet side street. Host was really responsive. We loved it

  • Mario from Italy – 3 October 2023 (10/10)

Posizione super centrale. Appartamento ristrutturato con gusto in uno splendido palazzotto d'epoca. Davvero pregevole.

  • Gino from Netherlands – 26 September 2023 (8/10)

    De locatie is fantastisch!

What could be improved: Het automatisch systeem om de deur te openen werkte prima voor de voordeur maar niet voor de deur van het appartement. We moesten steeds gebruik maken van een zeer omslachtige cijfercode om die deur te openen.

  • Tuuli from Estonia – 27 August 2023 (10/10)

The location is super, just in the middle of the Old town. It is just 2 minutes walk to Piazza delle Erbe.
The apartement is very clean and cozy, looks even better than on the pictures on booking.com.
We very liked the check-in system, you can check-in and check-out any time you need (even during night). There are many restaurants and bars close, and all sightseeing places are in a walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay there.
The apartement has a kitchen and even salt and pepper and coffee provided by the owners. Only sharp cutlery (knives) were missing, but we managed without (maybe some other guests have taken them away, but we did not find any sharp knives there). All the other equipment for preparing food were present. I also liked that they have created a booklet with important and useful information of Verona (shops, foodstores, taxi, sightseeing). I really suggest visiting Verona and staying in Aida Apartment!

  • Birgit from Germany – 10 July 2023 (8/10)

Friendly host, easy communication. Perfect located in the center of the city. Clean and has all you need.

  • Richard from United States – 10 May 2023 (8/10)

    location

What could be improved: noisy, parking our car. difficult to check in with the app. I brought this to the attention of the owner and there response is our last minute check in which was about an hour at the least. I’ve done this before and not had a problem in the past.

  • Nadzeya from Poland – 22 January 2023 (8/10)

Super excited with the location. The check-in directions were very clear and comfortable. The host responded really quickly.

What could be improved: It was quite cold. Would be nice if the host turns the heat on before the arrival.
