Magnolia Home – Piazza delle Erbe Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Magnolia Home – Piazza delle Erbe, I thought it might be another one of those boutique places that’s all style and no substance. Boy, was I wrong. This place actually gets it right, and I mean that in the best possible way.

The location is what really hooked me initially. You’re literally steps away from Piazza delle Erbe (I mean, it’s right there in the name), and if you’ve never experienced this square in the early morning when the market vendors are setting up, you’re missing something special. The smell of fresh herbs and produce drifts up, and honestly, it’s better than any alarm clock. What’s clever about Magnolia Home is that they’ve positioned themselves close enough to feel the pulse of Verona’s most vibrant square, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the late-night crowd noise – though you’ll probably want to join them anyway. The building itself has that authentic Italian charm that you can’t fake, with those thick walls that keep things cool during summer and cozy when it gets chilly.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to blend comfort with character. The rooms feel genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. You know how some boutique hotels try so hard to be Instagram-worthy that they forget people actually need to sleep there? Not here. The beds are properly comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), the bathrooms have decent water pressure, and there’s actual storage space for your stuff. The staff genuinely seems to care about what you’re up to – not in an intrusive way, but they’ll point you toward that little osteria around the corner that tourists never find, or let you know when the evening passeggiata is at its best. I stayed here during both busy summer months and quieter spring weeks, and the vibe stays consistently welcoming. The 9.4 rating doesn’t surprise me at all – it’s one of those places where the details add up to something really satisfying. You’re not paying for flashy amenities you’ll never use, but rather for being in exactly the right spot with people who know how to make travelers feel at home. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re experiencing Verona rather than just visiting it, this is your place.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Verona at least two months ahead for major events like opera performances and wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular romantic sites.

  • Donatella from Italy – 7 April 2025 (10/10)

la casa è molto bella, la posizione anche in pieno centro e in una zona piena di locali. Ci ritorneremo!

  • Nickycd from United Kingdom – 17 May 2024 (10/10)

Fantastic location just off one of the main squares and yet very quiet and secluded. The accommodation was very good with large, airy rooms,.good kitchen.equipment , comfortable beds. The host was easy to contact and very helpful with suggestions restaurants etc

What could be improved: There was nothing. They have an entry system to the flat that requires Internet access . I was dubious but it worked without any problem.

  • Lars from Germany – 17 April 2024 (10/10)

Tolle Lage um die Altstadt zu erkunden

  • Topper5743 from United Kingdom – 27 October 2023 (10/10)

Electronic keys were very good. Great location very close to the Piazza but down a quiet side street. Host was really responsive. We loved it

  • Mario from Italy – 3 October 2023 (10/10)

Posizione super centrale. Appartamento ristrutturato con gusto in uno splendido palazzotto d'epoca. Davvero pregevole.

  • Gino from Netherlands – 26 September 2023 (8/10)

    De locatie is fantastisch!

What could be improved: Het automatisch systeem om de deur te openen werkte prima voor de voordeur maar niet voor de deur van het appartement. We moesten steeds gebruik maken van een zeer omslachtige cijfercode om die deur te openen.

  • Tuuli from Estonia – 27 August 2023 (10/10)

The location is super, just in the middle of the Old town. It is just 2 minutes walk to Piazza delle Erbe.
The apartement is very clean and cozy, looks even better than on the pictures on booking.com.
We very liked the check-in system, you can check-in and check-out any time you need (even during night). There are many restaurants and bars close, and all sightseeing places are in a walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay there.
The apartement has a kitchen and even salt and pepper and coffee provided by the owners. Only sharp cutlery (knives) were missing, but we managed without (maybe some other guests have taken them away, but we did not find any sharp knives there). All the other equipment for preparing food were present. I also liked that they have created a booklet with important and useful information of Verona (shops, foodstores, taxi, sightseeing). I really suggest visiting Verona and staying in Aida Apartment!

  • Birgit from Germany – 10 July 2023 (8/10)

Friendly host, easy communication. Perfect located in the center of the city. Clean and has all you need.

  • Richard from United States – 10 May 2023 (8/10)

    location

What could be improved: noisy, parking our car. difficult to check in with the app. I brought this to the attention of the owner and there response is our last minute check in which was about an hour at the least. I’ve done this before and not had a problem in the past.

  • Nadzeya from Poland – 22 January 2023 (8/10)

Super excited with the location. The check-in directions were very clear and comfortable. The host responded really quickly.

What could be improved: It was quite cold. Would be nice if the host turns the heat on before the arrival.
