Mazzini Suite Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Mazzini Suite? I walked in expecting just another decent four-star place, but honestly, this feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-appointed apartment – if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and actually cared about the little things that make a stay memorable.

The suites here are genuinely spacious, and I mean proper living space, not just a hotel room with a couch shoved in the corner. Each one feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate, with these beautiful Italian touches that don’t feel forced or touristy. The kitchenettes are actually functional too – I’ve stayed in plenty of places where they give you a mini-fridge and call it a kitchen, but here you could honestly make a proper meal if you wanted to. The bathrooms deserve a mention because, well, let’s be real, hotel bathrooms can be hit or miss, but these have this lovely marble work and rainfall showers that actually have decent water pressure. Small thing, but it matters when you’ve been walking around all day.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail and the service – it’s that sweet spot where the staff clearly knows what they’re doing without being overly formal about it. Check-in was smooth, they remembered my name throughout the stay (which sounds basic but you’d be surprised), and when I mentioned I was looking for a good local restaurant, the recommendation was spot-on, not just the usual tourist trap suggestion. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works exactly as it should. The location is solid too, though I should mention that if you’re driving, ask about parking when you book because street parking can be a bit of a puzzle in that area. I actually ended up walking most places anyway, which worked out perfectly. The neighborhood has this authentic feel where you’ll see locals going about their daily business, not just tourists with cameras. Honestly, if I’m back in the area, this is where I’d stay again – it’s one of those places that just gets the balance right between comfort, location, and that indefinable feeling of being well taken care of without any fuss.

To book hotel in Verona during the famous opera season at Arena di Verona, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts romance seekers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

Reviews of Mazzini Suite

  • Radovic from Montenegro – 27 December 2024 (8/10)

The location is perfect! The space is big enough, the host was very kind and helpful, he gave us a lot of suggestions for places to visit, where to eat etc.

What could be improved: It was a bit cold for us, the temperature of the heating was preset so we couldn't do anything about it. The place would be better if there was at least some small kitchenette (we couldn't wash the dishes so we left them dirty on the table). However for a short stay it was ok.

  • Maria from Germany – 1 November 2024 (10/10)

We really enjoyed our 3 nights here. An apartment with personality and a great vibe. Clean, excellent location and everything you need for a few days in wonderful Verona. Paolo is very friendly and responds quickly. We would come back here anytime.

  • Ali from Australia – 23 October 2024 (10/10)

Everything was perfect in this gorgeous apartment! Great location, comfortable bed and amenities and lovely host.

What could be improved: Couldn’t fault it.

  • John from Australia – 21 October 2024 (10/10)

We loved everything about this place, particularly our host Paolo. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, the amenities great. it is right in the heart of the city and walking distance to see everything (even for us oldies).

What could be improved: We loved the quaint lift which carries one person with luggage, and you have to hold your finger on the button at all times to keep it going, but much better than climbing the steep stairs to the 3rd floor, while carrying your luggage. The only problem was you have to climb some stairs (17 steps) to get to the lift in the first place, but Paolo did help with our heavy luggage, thanks mate.

  • Philippa from New Zealand – 8 September 2024 (10/10)

Very central accomodation in the old town close to the Arena. Beautiful apartment. Plenty of space and comfortable. It meant you could pop back when the weather was bad then rest and recuperate for the next part of the day!

What could be improved: Nothing. Everything was great!

Priceless location, exceptionally clean, comfortable apartment, great for a couple. Easy access to the city, 30 meters from the Arena of Verona.
Paolo the host was really friendly and very kind to help us with all kinds of useful information. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to find this place to stay!
