My Verona Overview

You know what struck me first about My Verona? The name actually fits – it’s not trying to be something fancy or pretentious, just honest about what it delivers. This 3-star spot has that comfortable, lived-in feeling that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. With an 8.6 rating, clearly other travelers are picking up on the same vibe I did.

I mean, let’s be real – when you’re wandering around Verona all day soaking up the Roman ruins and hunting down Juliet’s balcony (tourist trap, but you’ll probably do it anyway), you want a place that feels like a genuine home base rather than some sterile hotel experience. That’s exactly what you get here. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which honestly surprised me in the best way possible. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole operation – no marble lobbies or over-the-top chandeliers, just thoughtful touches that show someone cares about the details that actually matter.

What I really appreciated was how the place captures that authentic Italian hospitality without feeling like it’s performing for tourists. You’ll find yourself lingering in common areas because the atmosphere just draws you in, maybe chatting with other guests about where to find the best risotto (pro tip: ask the front desk – they know the spots locals actually go to). The rooms have that perfectly imperfect Italian charm – everything works well, but there’s character in the slightly uneven floors and the way the afternoon light hits the windows just right. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with cutting-edge amenities, but honestly? You came to Verona to experience the city, not to hide in your hotel room. This place gets that balance right – comfortable enough that you sleep well and recharge properly, but authentic enough that you still feel connected to where you are. It’s the kind of spot where you might actually extend your stay by a night, just because leaving feels a bit harder than you expected.

Hotels near me in Verona offer convenient access to the city center, where guests can easily walk to Juliet’s Balcony, Piazza delle Erbe, and authentic Italian trattorias.

Reviews of My Verona

  • Messenger from United Kingdom – 29 July 2024 (9/10)

Amazing 10/10. Apartment was spotless. Provided us with a complimentary breakfast and other necessities. Both mattresses were very comfortable and the air con was a life saver in the heat. WiFi was fast and we took advantage of the oven, fridge and dishwasher which made our trip a lot more convenient and a lot cheaper. We were able to access the apartment with lime scooters which ended up being one of the best things about our trip (I recommend them more than the buses). Bus app didn't really work for us having a non Italian number as we couldnt verify the account, no fault of the owner or apartment though of course. No complaints what so ever thank you so much!

What could be improved: Absolutely nothing

We recently stayed at Emanuela’s house “My Verona” and we had a fantastic experience. The place was spotless, making us feel very very comfortable and at home. The thoughtful touches, like the treats and amenities, were a delightful surprise.

The home is beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a “very very well-equipped” kitchen. The location was perfect, providing easy access to downtown and local attractions. I haven’t seen such a great house in a looong long time, and it’s rare to find such quality on Airbnb or Booking.

Emanuela was excellent with communication, making the stay hassle-free. I highly recommend this My Verona for anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and welcoming place to stay. I will definitely return on my next visit to Verona
    .
Thank you, Emanuela, for a wonderful stay!

The hosts were so very welcoming and helpful. It was lovely to be personally met and shown into the apartment, offered lots of useful local info. The apartment is excellently equipped with everything we needed, the hosts were always easy to contact, quick to respond and very helpful. The complimentary snacks and drinks are a lovely touch. Convenient bus ride from station and town, walking distance from beautiful San Zeno church.

Thank you for the kind guidance on the sightseeing course and public transportation. The apartment was incredibly clean with everything prepared, and there was plenty of coffee, which made me feel grateful and comfortable throughout my stay.

Clean property within walking distance of the city centre. Fantastic value for money and a host that genuinely cares about his guests which is unfortunately quite rare.

  • Larisa from Slovenia – 3 May 2023 (9/10)

We especially appreciated the coffee capsules, tea bags and pastries that greeted us in the apartment. The apartment was very clean, orderly and the locking system made getting in and out of the apartment very easy (we didn’t even use the keys). We were three in the apartment and we found no problems feeling comfortable regarding the space.

What could be improved: Although we found the apartment very nice we think that adding a trash can and fixing the lock in the bathroom would be very useful for your next guests.
