Palazzo Cerù Bed and Breakfast Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Palazzo Cerù Bed and Breakfast feels like stepping into someone’s elegant family home — which, honestly, is exactly what makes this place so special. The palazzo sits right on Piazza Broilo in Verona’s historic center, and I mean right in the thick of things. You know that feeling when you find a place that’s perfectly positioned but somehow still feels like a secret? That’s this spot. The four-star property has this wonderful lived-in elegance that immediately puts you at ease.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re literally in Città Antica, which means you can walk to Juliet’s balcony in about three minutes (though honestly, it’s pretty touristy). But more importantly, you’re surrounded by those narrow cobblestone streets where locals actually live and work. The couples who stay here consistently rate the location 9.6 out of 10, and I get why — there’s something romantic about being able to wander back from dinner through these ancient streets. Plus, the fact that they offer private parking is actually a huge deal in this part of town, where most places leave you scrambling to find a spot.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had these beautiful high ceilings and original details that reminded me why Italian palazzos are so coveted. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to blend historical charm with modern comfort — the beds are genuinely comfortable, and the bathrooms work perfectly (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in historic properties). The windows look out onto either the piazza or the internal courtyard, and both views have their charm. You’ll hear some street noise if you’re facing the square, but it’s the kind of ambient city sound that actually adds to the atmosphere.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
The breakfast situation here is actually impressive — they do Continental, Italian, vegetarian, and even gluten-free options, which covers pretty much everyone’s needs. I appreciated that they can also prepare breakfast to go if you’re planning an early morning trip to Lake Garda or somewhere. The Italian breakfast was my favorite — proper cappuccino, fresh pastries, and local cheeses that you won’t find at the chain hotels. They serve it in this lovely restaurant area that feels more like a family dining room than a hotel breakfast space.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Palazzo Cerù apart is that perfect balance between location and intimacy. You’re staying in the real heart of Verona — not some sanitized hotel district — but you’re doing it in a place that feels personal and welcoming. The staff actually knows your name after the first day, and they’re genuinely helpful with recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing Verona the way it’s meant to be experienced, from a base that’s both comfortable and authentically Italian. The 9.0 overall rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here.

very polite service, great contact. Parking space a bit further from the hotel, but it didn't bother us. Delicious Italian breakfast. We could leave suitcases a bit longer and visit the city longer.
What could be improved: Smell from the bathroom and unfortunately cold water..Joy from Czech Republic – 14 February 2025 (9/10)

This bnb was perfect for our family of 4, two teens (17+19) who don’t mind sharing a sofa bed. The room and bathroom were spacious, the location central and the staff were kind and accomodating.

We recently stayed at Palazzo Ceru Bed and Breakfast in Verona, and it was an absolutely delightful experience.
The location is ideal, situated in the heart of Verona with easy access to major attractions like the Verona Arena, Juliet's Balcony and all restaurants and shops.
The room was warm, very clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. We really appreciated the seamless luggage service—they stored our bags both before check-in and after check-out, allowing us to explore the city without worry.
The breakfast was simple and delicious. It was the perfect way to start the day without being overwhelming. The cozy dining area added to the charm.
Evelyn was always ready to assist with recommendations, directions, or any special requests.
I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Verona.

Great location for many of Verona’s finest restaurants and buildings. The owner Evelyn was very friendly and suggested plenty of local sites and restaurants to explore and eat at. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Ideal family room for two older children and parents. The breakfast was tasty and varied.
