It’s not the kind of over-the-top luxury you’d find at some massive chain hotel, but rather this refined, intimate sort of elegance that feels more genuine somehow.

The location is what really sold me on this place. Being right near Verona’s famous Piazza delle Erbe means you’re literally in the heart of everything – I mean, you can hear the morning market vendors setting up their stalls if you crack open a window early enough. There’s something pretty magical about falling asleep to the distant sounds of people enjoying their evening aperitivos in the square below. The apartment itself has this wonderful blend of historic charm and modern comfort that’s honestly hard to find. The ceilings are high with those beautiful old beams, but they’ve managed to fit in all the contemporary touches you’d want – good WiFi, updated bathroom fixtures, a kitchen that actually works properly (which isn’t always a given in these historic buildings, trust me).

What I really appreciated was how they’ve maintained the authentic character without sacrificing functionality. The floors creak just a little when you walk across them – the kind of sound that reminds you you’re staying in a building with real history. The windows are these gorgeous tall affairs that let in tons of light during the day, though you might want to invest in the heavy curtains they provide if you’re sensitive to street noise. It’s not disruptive, mind you, just the natural buzz of a living, breathing Italian piazza. The 8.6 rating honestly feels about right – this isn’t a perfect five-star resort experience, but it’s something better in many ways. It’s authentic and comfortable and puts you right where you want to be. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, and the person who showed me around actually gave me some great local recommendations that I never would have found otherwise. You know what really impressed me though? The little details – proper hangers in the closet, decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that actually seal properly when closed. These might sound trivial, but they’re the things that separate a good stay from a frustrating one.

  What could be improved: There is only ac in the lounge – in August it is very hot in Verona and we did find it hard to sleep in the bedrooms however there were fans provided. The shower needs a bit of updating.

  What could be improved: Initally, it was very cold in the apartment, we contacted the host and his answer was that from April,there is a city law that doesn't allow heating to be turned on🤔 Besides our request to find an alternative heater or something as it was very cold, his answer was that there was nothing he could do. Then we realised that there was no hot water as well🥶 Someone showed in our apartment, without any notice in advance, that someone would come and see the problem. After many attempts to fix it, it came out that the heater and the hot water just haven't been turned on 🔳, very simple thing which should have been checked before the guests' arrival. On the day of the checkout, we had a question, but the host answered more than 2 hours later.
  I truly recommend improving the professionalism of the host as the property is very nice, and it's a pity to be managed from unprofessionals.
