The building itself feels like a converted artist’s studio – atelier vibes all the way, with exposed brick walls that have that rough, centuries-old texture under your fingers, and quirky modern art pieces scattered around like someone actually lives there.

What really won me over, though, was how it balances that old-world Verona charm with stuff that actually makes a stay comfortable – you know, the little things travelers forget to ask about until they’re regretting it. I spent one afternoon just lounging on the small terrace, watching the light filter through vine-covered walls, and it hit me how this place lets you dip into Verona’s magic without the overwhelm: a quick stroll to Juliet’s balcony for that obligatory photo, or across to Via Mazzini for some window-shopping, but always with this peaceful retreat to return to.

Look, if you’re plotting a romantic escape or just craving a slice of authentic Italy – the kind where you sip Aperol on a hidden piazza and forget about chain hotels – Pied à Terre is it. It’s not flawless (the Wi-Fi dipped a bit during a rainstorm, but hey, who needs it when you’re in Verona?), but that rating of 9 feels spot-on. Four stars, yet it punches above with its personality. I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in fall when the crowds thin out and the leaves turn the riverbanks golden.   A fantastic location. Easy access to the apartment. Lift access. Aldi supermarket just around the corner. Host Simone responded to queries promptly before travel and while in Verona.

  What could be improved: I misunderstood and thought I was getting an apartment with kitchen. I had rented two bedrooms with a private bath. The entrance hall is shared, which meant that other people had to go thru shared hall to get to their rooms. That was a first for us. So using the bathroom in middle of night was difficult as people come and go. You can hear people come and go which would wake us up. Not having a kitchen was tough as I am a diabetic and needed to prepare certain meals for myself. Luckily there were vegetarian shops nearby.

  I liked that it had an elevator because our apartment is on the 3rd floor. I loved the interior and fully equipped kitchen.

  The appartement is very nice and you have much space. The rooms are big and cosy. The explication of Simone to get into the house and the room is super easy and did go well. Simone is very gentil and helpful at any time. The appartement is near the Arena what also was very nice.

  The owner was very welcoming and responded to all our needs, the place is clean and a very good value since it is at 2 minutes by foot from the Arena.
  
  What could be improved: The neighbors are a bit difficult to deal with. Particular caution is advised for noisylarge groups.
