I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to PISANO12, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The name doesn’t give much away, and honestly, that kind of intrigued me. You know how some hotels try so hard to sound fancy or exotic? This one just is what it is, and there’s something refreshing about that approach.

What really caught my attention was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting things right. I mean, we’re talking about a 3-star place here, so you’re not expecting someone to carry your bags or anything, but the check-in was smooth and the person at the front desk knew the neighborhood well enough to give me some solid recommendations. They pointed me toward this little café around the corner that I never would have found otherwise – the kind of spot where locals grab their morning coffee, not the touristy place with the fancy signage.

The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between comfortable and unpretentious. Nothing flashy, but everything worked properly (which, honestly, isn’t always a given). The bed was actually comfortable – not too soft, not too firm – and I slept well even though I’m usually pretty picky about mattresses. The bathroom was clean and had decent water pressure, though I’d say bring your own shampoo if you’re particular about that stuff. What I really appreciated was that they didn’t try to cram too much into the space. Sometimes smaller hotels make rooms feel cluttered, but this felt organized and thoughtful.

Location-wise, you’re in a spot where you can actually get a feel for how people live in the area, rather than being stuck in some sterile hotel district. I found myself walking to dinner most nights because there were genuinely good options within a few blocks. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel – you’ll hear some street noise, but it’s the normal sounds of a place where things are happening, not construction or constant traffic. If you’re someone who needs complete silence, maybe pack earplugs, but I found it kind of comforting actually.

The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me after staying there. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I think guests pick up on and appreciate. You’re getting solid value without any pretense or hidden fees that suddenly appear at checkout. The WiFi worked well throughout the building, housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive, and when I had a question about extending my stay, they handled it without any drama.

I’d definitely stay at PISANO12 again, especially if I wanted to feel like I was staying somewhere with personality rather than just another generic hotel room. It’s the kind of place where you might end up chatting with other travelers in the lobby, not because there’s some forced social hour, but because the atmosphere just lends itself to that. If you’re looking for a straightforward, well-run place with character and reasonable prices, this hits the mark.

  Communication with the owners was very fast and understanding from their side. We were close to the train station and there is a bus station where you can move easily. I really appreciate the fact that they let us enter the house in the morning

  the location it’s not that far from the centre, easy to get access to transportation. the place was in good condition.
